Invalid Call reading text file
« on: October 18, 2001, 04:53:38 pm »
Good day,

Using Ultra Hal Assistant v4.0.146, when I run "learn from a text file..." and select a text file (tried three: 2kb, 10kb, 7kb in size), There's always an error msgbox that pops up. The msgbox appears as it reads each line of the textfile, and is always the same.

Not sure if a file can be atached in this forum, so I'll describe the errorbox:

MsgBox title: Ultra Hal Assistant Editor
MsgBox alert is that yellow triangle with exclamation point.
and the msg is...

Error 5:
Invalid procedure call or argument
Occured at line 47
in Ultra Hal Assistant: frmLearn.Command1_Click

Buttons are Abort, Retry, Ignore.

Content of my textfiles look like this: <someword> is <the description>.

Communicating is the exchange of information.
Red zones are illegal for parking and stopping, even for only a moment.
Chocolate milk is delicious when really cold. That's why ice cream is so tasty.

Ideas?
Thanks...!
:o)

Hello,

Did you ever find a solution to this error message ?

I have just tried to read from a text file and received exactly the same error message.
I am using the current downloadable version of Ultra Hal Assisstant
Version 5.056 I think.

Thank you
