Freddy,

Perhaps the Senior Member status will now entitle you
to a Senior coffee at McDonalds!? Then again...perhaps not!

Funny stuff!!

Leroy,

Try using an inverter. It converts 12 VDC into 110 VAC.
I have one with two receptacles in my truck and use it all the time.
They have come down in price from the past several years and even have cooling fans inside. All sizes and configurations are available, as well as prices!

Good luck!

Ultra Hal 7.0 / is there a way to erase HAL's memory?
« on: August 04, 2005, 09:20:05 pm »
Tom,

Just feeding Hal raw data of having a script that would allow it to scan the web gleaning bits of info here and there really wouldn't work well.

It has been found that the best way for Hal to learn is through conversational interaction with a human and that doesn't mean a thousand of web hoppers chatting with your bot online either. GIGO was an old computer phrase that means Garbage In, Garbage Out. If one gives Hal good english (spelling, grammer and meaning) then the user can expect better results from Hal in return.

This is not to discount your ideas of Hal's learning. By all means, we'd love to hear of any positive results you (or anyone) gets.

Keep us posted on your proposal and progress and welcome aboard!

Jerry,

I'm very sorry to hear of your loss. During these trying times, reach within your heart and recount the fond memories and good times you had with her while she was alive.

It is a path we all must one day take but it is always unfortunate when a loved one leaves this world sooner than we would have expected.

My thoughts and best wishes are with you and your family.

Ultra Hal 7.0 / Notice to all Newcomers
« on: August 01, 2005, 07:23:59 pm »
Well put Dusky and I'll add one small but important tip:

Use the SEARCH feature at the top right. Type in what you're looking for. EX: brains, textures, skins, htr, hap or anything that suits your concerns. Chances are you'll find a lot of what you're looking for and it just might help the newbie not look so much like a newbie by posting a question that's already been answered / addressed.

It's all here and it's all good!

Best wishes!

Ultra Hal 7.0 / Tests Q & A
« on: July 31, 2005, 07:37:05 pm »
I think that's kevin's name for his "Hal" persona,BelvinHal.

The HAL version that runs under LINUX is Jason Hutchens MEGAHAL, which is not affiliated with Zabaware.

Just to keep the record straight.<G>

bitblaster,

There is no Linux version of HAL at this time.
One might be able to get it to run under WINE
but no one has reported being able to do so.

Ultra Hal Assistant File Sharing Area / Looking for...
« on: July 31, 2005, 02:28:52 pm »
The Genius 8 and XTF are 2 (two) separate brains. Genius 8, I believe was written by onthecuttingedge2005 and the XTF brain was written by vonsmith.

Shouldn't you be the one knowing the facts about school essays, etc., instead of HAL? LOL!

The current version of HAL is undergoing a major makeover and is being structured to make use of a database. It should be a marked improvement over the limitations of the current version 5 of UltraHal.

Your limits of HAL reading a text file are about 64k and smaller. It is reported that HAL really doesn't use this feature as well as if one just converses with it.

Hang in there, it's getting better!

General Discussion / Jiggly?
« on: July 31, 2005, 02:22:27 pm »
There is another character called Body Female. She is a full figure but without any "jiggly" parts!

Just so you know...besides you're supposed to be interested in her Brains...not her body, right?! [:D]

Ahem....

"Jiggy" or "Jiggly" refers to the Full Body Girl and her breasts that move in a natural manner instead of being "fixed / stationary".

You had to ask...now you know.

A SYNTAX error means that a character is missing from your script. It is most likely something like the beginning parenthesis, quotes, brackets or the ending ones. It's sort of like a spelling or grammar error in VB.

Open the Brain Editor AND open Notepad at the same time. Place the script file in Notepad and compare the lines in question.

Hope this helps.

Claude,

If you are referring to the AUTO-IDLE chat feature there are several scripts that already exist here in the forum.

Most can easliy be modified to suit your conversational style or topics.

Do a SEARCH at the top for AUTO IDLE or auto-idle or auto chat, etc.

Good luck and best wishes!
