Congratulations, Versionfour.
Your heads are looking a lot better, more detail.
If you don't mind could you send me the original picture of the Lori head, That one is nice.
I would like to have a go from scratch.

Thanks Versionfour, [:)]
Glad you like her. All the features are her's.
In this head i didn't change anything.
This is straight from the original picture.
Some heads, i do change after i do it in p/putty
just to accentuate certain features.
It helps great if you have a good photo or imaging program,
you can cut,paste,blend, etc.

Speech Technology / newbie needs a little advice...
« on: November 02, 2005, 04:11:36 am »
Although Ultra Hal recognizes the installation of your new voice, the Haptek player doesn't. Be sure to run the Haptek SAPI Config utility located in your start menu under the Haptek player. Simply run it and close it, restart Hal, and the voice will work.
This is an answer that i got from Mr M.
I hope it works for you.

General Discussion / Can't get People Putty to Work HELP!
« on: August 06, 2005, 05:45:52 pm »
Thornap, Try this_
I have the paid version of hal and for a week or more could not get putty faces to operate in hal.
Every one kept telling me to change the .haptar file name to .htr,
which i kept on doing. Still didn't work even though it showed that the file name was changed.
Eventually i stumbled across the answer.
I am running xp home and even though i changed the file type, windows was not.
Do you get a warning when you change from .haptar to .htr,
IF YOU DO NOT GET A WARNING THIS SHOULD FIX YOUR PROBLEM.
FOLLOW THE SCREEN SHOTS I HAVE INCLUDED.

NEIL.

p.s. People putty save as haptar = correct.
If the above fixes your problem, after you save your putty face go to where you saved it to and change the file ext to .htr, you should get a warning that you are changing it, just accept it and ok the change.
As i said earlier i am running xp home, i suppose most other systems would operate in much the same way?

General Discussion / New from Haptek-MAYBE???
« on: July 30, 2005, 08:26:22 am »
As i said, i did ask for more information but got no reply.
Maybe it should not have been leaked out.
Or maybe it was said to satisfy my question.
If it is so, one wonders how much extra we will get, will it be like a bust,ie,head neck a bit of body with no arms.
Since i was quoted around $2000 US to be able to make my own torso's,
It seems to me that if it happens we will either get the bust or it will be priced out of our league.
Second thoughts MAYBE BOTH [:(]

Below is what i asked Haptek and their reply
Question:
> I have been using people putty for quite a while now and loving it.
> Is there ever going to be an updated version.
> I realise that you are mainly after the corporate dollar, but i would
> like to have a torso skin included into people putty, which would make
> the whole program a little more life like.
> While writing this email i am saying to myself  the answer to all the
> above is NO, but i do think that you would get a lot more people
> buying your product.
> Again thank you for a great product (which could be even better)
Their answer:

Hi Neil,
You're welcome and thank you too.
We have no current updates for PP, but we do plan to have a more
advanced product for consumers ... one that will have more body attached
to the heaed/neck.
Jack
I replied to them asking for more information but got no reply.

« on: July 16, 2005, 02:01:53 am »
midget1488, When i put a putty head on the full bod it changes the head but it is not as clear as the putty head.
You can also do the same with the torso, this time it comes up nearly perfect.
Here is a pic.
