Hi i was playing around on my sat nav last week and came a cross a some voices to down load so i thought it would be quite good fun to have the Tom Tom voice as Yoda well it gives me a great laff in the car even a week on so i thought how much fun it would be to have hals voice as Yoda is this soming that can be done?,,,,, is anyone on with it?,,,,,or can we download it some where like the sat nav?

Hi Grim.
you might have to go to the source that made the voice and ask them if they would allow it to be used in that way because if the voice is copyrighted then the source may cause problems for users using it.
I hope it's possible but I'd rather everyone be safe to use it for HAL if it can be done.

would be very easy to write a plugin that would arrange sentence parts like yoda speaks for the GetResponse.

Yeah, but the cool thing is that the voice used in the TomTom sounds a lot like YODA so just speaking pronoun reversed sentences using another TTS voice might not have the desired or same effect. Just my thoughts....FWIW.

hi Jason, i will try to find a list of linking verbs tonight. how dificult will it be as i am only in the begiiningf stages of programming? i am also struggling with the gretta news as i cant get hal to read the Yahoo RSS feeds for Cyprus.
