Issues With multiple TTS apps
« on: December 31, 2005, 01:45:42 am »
I am running in continual problems using mulitple TTS apps.  Often, for some reason that I cannot yet identify, Ultra Hal stops speaking and I am not sure how to get the voice back.  I reboot several times and nothing.

I am running several other TTS apps from time-to-time and Ultra Hal will just stop speaking.  Very frustrating.  It was working before and now, nothing.  I was going to buy this package but it behaves very poorly. =(

I am also switching from audio inputs as well.  This app does not seem to behave consistently in such a mixture.

Thanks for any help!

Do I understand you correctly when I think you run more than one program with a TTS-voice at the same time and then Hal quits speaking?

Along with Doc's line of thinking, do you have any IRC or other chat bots in the taskbar in case someone want's to chat with you?

You really should only have one instance of a TTS runing at a time.

Which voice are you using?
In the world of AI it's the thought that counts!
