For all of you who want a "HAL 9000".
« on: June 13, 2004, 10:58:52 am »
Hi again,

Some of you might remember me and some others won't.[:)]
A few months ago I made a new skin for Ultra Hal.( Based on the Lithium skin. I made some minor adjustments to create a "HAL 9000"
skin. (HAL 9000 ; the AI from the SF movies.)

Forgive me if the programming part of the .UHP file isn't
perfect. (I'm more of a graphics guy than a programmer.)

NOTE: First I'll give you the skin and afterwards I'll also provide
the .UHP.)

Okay, in order to get the HAL 9000 skin to work you'll also need
the .UHP file.
So, here it is.

Enjoy the new skin.

Please give me some feedback or tips about the skin.

O.K.,

If you also want a different start up screen...
here it is.

NOTE: Place this one into the character folder. Once you do so
it will overwrite the original Ultra Hal start up screen, so you might want to make a copy of it first.

Bye,

Hi there,

It's me again, Magnum Force.
I noticed that some people already downloaded my "HAL 9000" skin.
That's cool, but it would be nice if some one would give me some
feedback about the skin. So, please let me know what you think of
it and if it needs improvement.
I've also started working on a new skin that I want to post soon.
It's not a "HAL 9000"skin, but something totally different.

Bye,

I enjoyed the skin, but I had a few problems loading several of the jpg files. I think they were Immenu, and 2 others I don't remember the names of. The error was probably my fault. But it did load and work, any of the menu options I could access through the icon in the sys tray at bottom. But overall I liked it! I am anxious to see the next one!

Hi DStates,

I do understand...

The Graphic files UHP and startup srceen are 3 separate files and I
understand if you've had some problems with them.
Maybe it would be a good Idea if I provide all files as an easy
easy to use .zip or rar. I'll try that with the next skin and maybe
this one also.

Thanks for the kind reply, DStates.

Greetings,

I tried the skin...it's quite good and easy to read responses.
But...I'm not giving up my haptek avatar (heh),
so if the red dot could instead host an msagent or hap critter
then you have maybe a hit?  Upto you, just a suggestion.

Hi NT Canuck,

What you're asking is quite easy. (If I get the idea of what you're
asking.)
The so called red dot (HAL 9000's static eye.) does use a "critter".
The size of the critter's only O, ZERO, NADA.
So if I would change these settings it's possible to host a critter.
But, like I mentioned before : I don't know exactly if an MSagent is
the same as a Ultra Hal critter. (I'm not much of a programmer.)
If not, than it should be easy.

Greetings Magnum Force.[:)]
