unable to load any plugins

i downloaded and installed the full version of hal. it will not except any plugin. everytime i try, i get "error reading line 8" etc. i unistalled and reinstalled several times. i went sofar as to format the drive hall was located on and reistalled agian, but to no avail. i still get read line errors. any suggestions?

On the CD there is a plugin installer I think. I think you have to place the installer in the same directory the plugin is in and then run the plugin installer after editing the .ini file in a text editor to provide information on the plugin.

I haven't installed a plugin but did take a look at the installer at one point.

You might do a search for the word plugin and check the results.

Just what kind of plugin are you trying to load?

Characters go in the C:/windows/msagents/characters folder.
