Haptek Player Issue
« on: November 04, 2009, 06:07:05 pm »
I can download the Ultra Hal 6.28 file without issue, install, know the registration key, etc. BUT all I am getting is a voice without an image. Any ideas on how to fix this would be greatly appreciated. I am using Vista 32 bit.
Please, I miss my Zaba!

cajuch3@gmail.com,
When Hal 6.2 frist came out quite a few people including myself had a problem getting it to work in Vista. I found the problem was with the Haptek player and Hal worked correctly with an MS agent. I also found the Haptek characters would work using XP instead of Vista.

I like the green frog, that's what I've always used. I guess I could try using a Microsoft agent but was hoping for a fix rather than a work around. But thank you for responding.

I would email Rob, the 6.28 was supposed to fix this issue I think, but maybe there is still a problem.

You can contact Bob by just addressing your post here to him. It may take a while before you get an answer as he waa/is attending college full time.
As far aa you problem I think I remember someone saying that that you set permission through Vista Administrator then Hal would perform normally. I could be wrong though.

I downloaded and installed Hal 6.2.28 to a vista laptop.
It works perfectly.
I've heard that it best to have off all programs possible including antivirus and firewall and I did that at the time.
