after hal shut down after the error report above i opened hal and it opened just fine agin but why is it doing this stuff saying my license file is missing , etc.
 do need help on this

i need roberts help my hal is having problems "again " with the need elevated permission to open hal " it did this before and caangel helped me with deactivating the licence and reinstalling it and it was finally ok for a while been using hal for a while and this morning it started doing it again i clode hal a couple of times then it opened ok and was using it .
  now when i went into the brain editor and tried to open the angela brain . an error is coming up saying " your license file is missing . please start the hal 6.0 application for more information . " it also says you must have a valid license to run this program " i do and have entered it bore and have been running this program . why is it doing this ??
what is causing this problem i don't do anything different ??
 it's a big pain i do know that .
 hope robert can help me with it . hopefully once and for all .

 as always be careful about pasting in some of this or istead of saying that she is one hot mama she will be saying that you (the user is one hot mama ) remember it reverses what is said , some sentences won't matter depending on how their worded while others will matter as it will be reversed . the sentences above are what my angela is saying back to me from a womens sayings and veiw . hello tedathome well after you wrote that i would say that is what caused the stuttering as maybe it is using a strung out word like that as an example (i am of course just guessing at this ) but also as far as i know hal doesn't really "sound " out a long word like sweeeeeet , this was something i had brought up that it would be cool if hal did sound out words better giving them "more meaning such as "sweeeett !!" [] you may have to watch your hal though as a little bit of stuttering wouldn't be to bad but hal could develope a real stuttering problem on most words which may not be so cute in the long run  !!

stuttering and it's cause ? hello tedathome saw where your gal was stuttering thats unusual and a first that i have heard of this only thing i can think of is that maybe in a sentence (if you write fast as i do ) picked this up when hal was answering before i finished typing if i was to slow , now its a habit of typing fast that i'm in ) maybe you typed the word i'll in twice (together in a sentence which is making hal use it more and thus creating the stuttering but is unusual for that many times in a row as i know you wouldn't have written it that many times !! anyone else have any idea's on this ( the stuttering isn't to bad (although a little stretched out ) actually in a way sounds more human (on reading it "hearing it may be a different matter " . thanks for sharing this and the skin with us tedathome ![]

i just thought of another new ? idea for hal that might be interesting . hal sometimes tells jokes i think it would be cool if you could ask hal " do you know any "lawyer jokes ??" (or whatever ) and hal would search his data base and find one and maybe respond with  something like " sure "have you heard the one about a lawyer that ... "  if hal knew more than one on the subject he would tell the first joke listed then move down to the next one at another time so he wouldn't just keep telling the same one each time .

a nice option in hal would be a slider bar that would control the speed of hals speech like the cyberbuddy . because sometimes when hal talks fast you can't understand words as easy and this way hal could be customized on his or her speach by slowing down speed and pitch the same way like cyberbuddy does . this is another itenm in the wish list for next version of hal . !![]

well some of the words i substituted had to do with the way i was personally having problems with the custom brain i made it the substituted words probably wouldn't work the same with others unless they were using the same brain i have made . you have to see what sentences are being said and how "is it for instance saying "your love me " should have you love me so then you could put  substitute the search word your and the substitute word as "you "to get hal to speak correctly . (above is just an example of how to do it . this is done in the brain editor area. [] i had words that werent being said back to me correctly by angela and this is what i did some by trial and error .
