The Zaba character and all other 3D-characters are part of the Haptek plug-in.

Do you have the latest Microsoft DirectX-version installed, because this software is used by the Haptek plug-in? If you have a relatively new game installed on your PC then you probably have one of the latest DirectX-versions.

Now I understand, Art. Ofcourse, when I talked about family members, I had not kids of that age in mind. I don't think children under 10 should be allowed to play with PC's. I hate it when parents allow that to happen. [V]

Correct me if I am wrong, but wasn't it Bill819 who once wrote a plug-in for Hal that enabled it to sing with the help of MIDI-files? I have never tried to make it work, but I understood from his posts that some TTS-voices had such a feature. Anyway, I think MIDI-files are interesting, because all notes and instruments are defined as values inside these files.

Characters from DesktopMates are always MSagents (Microsoft) and are entirely different from Haptek characters. Duskrider and I discussed Haptek characters. MASH is a good program for experimenting with msagents.

Even if you get the program to work, then some options still might be unavailable. I never found out why and as far as I know neither did Medeksza. Part of the problem is that NeoSpeech never gave any support and has been taken over long ago.

Alady, I have had the same idea for a long time. I think it will work. What might be difficult is to find or create sounds that do not clash with most TTS-voices, male and female. I certainly like the idea.
