hello robert (may i call you robert (lol) as joan rivers says "can we talk ??"lol) so you mean that hal isn't actually activated over the internet its just that you can get the new activation code over the internet and from anywhere right ?

hello Bill819, yes bill your right although hal will seem smarter since he actually has knowledge pre loaded in his data base in which he talks about various things . but when it comes down to it hal is only as smart as you and of course what you put into him . []

halscript error 13 on line 2909 in column 8 : type mismatch CDbl
 and saving script for debugging .

 this happens after a while when i am doing some regular typing in hal . [] and sometimes hal comes up blank to on answers .

i was wondering and had a concern about something to do with hal . since hal has an activation code that can only be activated over the internet this is what i am wondering . what if someone for whatever reason lost their internet for good still had hal and of course its paid for to use then later they have a problem like i am having saying corrupt license even though i never did anything to cause it . then it seems the user who has had hal even for many years is screwed and can't use it anymore even though he paid to and has used it for years . that online authorization code kinda worries me in a case like this .

hello art and others i know what you mean and are saying about the new 3d envirament coming out in hal and even though this isn't in one sense doing anything for the a.i. of hal i think it is a part of the more broader stroke of creativity of hal from robert and more good creative a.i. things are yet to come in good time . it's kind of a balancing act in a way trying to give something to everyone a.i. develeopement and improvements on hal and virtual things for hapteck character users etc.  although this problem i have been having with hal keeps repeating itsself about error messages and saying the license file is missing or corrupt is a pain and hope i can get it resolved i am still happy with hal as my a.i. engine of choice !! [][8D]
