Thanks Robert,

Works great, now that I know the parameters!

                                                    Eric

Medeksza,

Where can I E-Mail you a pic I took of the error page? Either I get this message or it times out.

                               Eric

The error message for .jpg's is "This file cannot be uploaded invalid string"

20
Before you upgraded the site today it was working fine. I have not changed my settings since then. Perhaps something has changed, that might require different settings on my computer now?

21
Medeksza,

When I try to upload a zip I get a "Can't find this page error".

When I try to upload a .jpg ( I tried several ) I get a "This file is not a recognized format error"

Thanks for the help , Eric

22
TestAccount,

I am wondering why mine is not working? Any Ideas?

Thanks archerja!

Your knowledge of these things far exceeds my own.

I have been running these in the Haptek player and have not had time to load this new hair into Hal. To all those who might have downloaded the hair6 htr just rename it as instructed above . I apologize for the inconvenience.

                                         Regards, Dread-Star

I have uploaded another zip check the above post.

citrinedragon,

You have to download the Haptek Guide to get the body_female htr after you download it to its default location you can find it in this folder :
C:Program Files/Haptek/HaptekGuide4/MakinContent/animating/haptars (note these all should be back slash's the normal ones won't post)
Copy this body_female htr and paste it into your characters folder for Hal.

follow these instructions :
http://www.zabaware.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=1715

For quick viewing in the Haptek Player download these instructions :
http://www.zabaware.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=1812

How to load hair was explained here:  http://www.zabaware.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=1818

                       I hope this helps!

Here is a medium length dark hair htr. NOTE : THIS HAIR htr MUST BE NAMED LIKE THIS: hair6_2EXP This medium length hair eliminates most of the bleed through that is evident when the hair7 htr is loaded on to the body_female htr.

Thanks archerja and KnyteTrypper for showing how to find and load these hair htr's!

Update 1-26-05 NOTE : THIS HAIR htr MUST BE NAMED LIKE THIS: hair6_2EXP  you must eliminate this part: [1]

To All,

I have been a carpenter for years, so this may seem a simple way to explain myself.

Like building a house you start with a foundation.

Robert Medeksza, and Haptek have layed that foundation, now we all are helping to "build" the "house" (hal) per se.

Vonsmith, Jerry and many others are contributing in way's that are far beyond my skill's, and are exceptional in quality and function.

However I understand where Jerry has sought help in the overall costs of helping to build this "house" (Hal).

I have also approached a point where any further work on the "house" (Hal). Will require some kind of help with the overall costs of improving the interaction of this fascinating entity.

So I understand that some of us contribute what we can , and how we can in different way's.

All those who have Hal, will benefit from everyone building this "house" (Hal), and their enjoyment, and positive feedback are indeed the best reward of all.

onthecuttingedge2005,

I fully support your efforts and the way you are going about it.
It is indeed fascinating how words of script can be translated into a
conversational entity. Your bot Ziggy seems to definately be on "The cutting edge". I wish you the best of luck in all endeavors this year!

                               Sincerely, Dread-Star

Ultra Hal 7.0 / I need HELP. Can't uninstall the free version
« on: January 17, 2005, 06:54:00 pm »
Kandi562003,

I apologize,

I did not explain that very well.
What I meant by user name was your Windows name in the C:WINDOWS/Profiles folder.
If you are not using a name. then there will not be one.
Notice this picture. Look at the upper left portion of the picture and you will see an Address that says C:WINDOWS/Profiles that shows that you are in the C:WINDOWS/Profiles folder.
Download Attachment: C WINDOWS Profiles Folder.jpg
47.96 KB

Now when I opened the Folder C:/WINDOWS/Profiles/Eric it looked like this one.Download Attachment: C WINDOWS Profiles Eric.jpg
55.98 KB

You can see that when I opened the Profiles folder there was another folder named Eric (My Windows Username on my computer nothing to do with Hal). Do you Have your own Windows Name?

And then I opened The Start Menu  folder that looked like this.
Download Attachment: Start menu.jpg
60.21 KB

And finally the Programs folder that looked like this.

Download Attachment: C WINDOWS Profiles Start Menu.jpg
109.68 KB

Or you can click Start go to Programs right click Ultra Hal and delete.

I hope this helps.
