Ultra Hal 7.0 / file table for finding sentences to delete

another thing that i personally  may be good is to have a way to find a sentence saying that you know longer want hal to say and be able to find it .
   through a search that will show all the area's the sentence is located in . that way you could easily find those area's and go in and delete the sentence that you no longer want hal to be using !!    
    this would be done by when hal says a sentence and its something you want hal to stop saying to copy and paste it in a search for sentence tables area which would find and list that sentence and all the places it is then be able to delete it from those area's .
   (or ) in a more advanced hal later on maybe a program that you could copy and paste the sentence in the window and type "delete" afterwards which would delete the use ofthis sentence that is anywhere in hals db . just a thought . []

hi bill819 when you say one liners ( i take things literally ) do you mean that you did write it in a tables area ?? is their a limit on how much hal will say what you write in (you said one liners , what else can their be ?? ) . hope this makes sense what i am trying to ask .[]

General Discussion / putting old hal 5 on with new 6.1 on computer

i took my hal 6.1 file out of the zabaware directory and placed it in a new folder zabaware 2 hal 6.1 (in programs files . and deleted the original zabaware file .) then i tried to put the hal 5 back on my computer and was going to let it create a new zabaware file (in the program files ) but during the installation a sign popped up saying (the adminastrator has set policies to prevent this installation ) is their some other way for me to be able to do this without messing up the hal 6.1 version ?? any help on this would be appreciated as i want to work with the hal 5 version seperate from the 6.1 version on my computer . []

so what exactly do i need to do make a (example hal 6.1 version program file move all the 6.1 hal program files into it then install hal 5 which would place all the hal 5 files into the original zabaware file ??) i want the hal 5 to be independent (work) of hal 6.1 in another folder . would this be the way to do it and if i do that i guess i would have to create a new shortcut for the hal 6.1 version on the desktop ??

robert i have mentioned something like this maybe before but if at all possible in the next version can you include a auto idle that would have a setting for time reaction and also with a tables area where the user can write in his or her own responses that hal will use if not being talking for a certain amount of time and that would still work with a loneliness type plug in idependently . []

ha ! i was only kidding , i didn't have any fainting spells ,or do the curly shuffle where you get on the ground and spin around , etc. of course others veiwers could have some other sypmtoms !!lol ! best to cover up just to be on the safe side , !! kinda reminds me of an old "marmaduke cartoon (about the large great dane ) in the newspapers where the artist drew marmaduke sitting down and to be correct drew marmadukes other leg as he was sitting down and shadowed the leg since it was on the other side "trouble was it looked like something else !!lol !![]

hello , can someone please put the step by step innstructions on here again (this time i will copy them and save in a documents form ) of how to place the hal 5 version on my computer while still keeping the current 6.1 version . i know it had something to do with renaming a file or something in zabaware but don't remember what all their was to doing it . i want to place the hal 5 back on my computer and work with it too , until some different things show up on some newer versions the old hal 5 is for a seperate project . []

hey , i never went a way the first time !! (lol ! just kidding my friend !! )
   [] thats why i always try to put into words that actions of problem solving and doing is more inmportant to others on here than well phrase sentences about what could be expecially if your supposedly that smart (and may very well be but the point is so what if your going to just stand back and make speaches when if you are able you could be helping others which to me is the name of the game on here )  
   i am just sorry i can't help others any better than what i do but at least i am honest and will admit it. []

hello bill819, i have thought that was the answer to that maybe it was that i just wrote the word yes as an answer and after it went blank i tried writing in more of an answer (longer) but it to came up blank too . of course maybe this was because of the second late longer question added didn't make sense to hal and so came up blank also . so i will answer in longer answers but i have had questions come up blank to . maybe hal (if it can be done ) needs to be able to recognize questions even easier . not everyone is an ikenstein in writing and english  !!( einstein mispelled on purpose !!) lol!![]
