General Discussion / some substitution words not working right ?

well some of the words i substituted had to do with the way i was personally having problems with the custom brain i made it the substituted words probably wouldn't work the same with others unless they were using the same brain i have made . you have to see what sentences are being said and how "is it for instance saying "your love me " should have you love me so then you could put  substitute the search word your and the substitute word as "you "to get hal to speak correctly . (above is just an example of how to do it . this is done in the brain editor area. [] i had words that werent being said back to me correctly by angela and this is what i did some by trial and error .

i still get blank responses every so often , but i did that before i ever removed those . i will continue with my testing og hal 9angela ) without it for a while but so far it has been just fine . before you do it as i did back up your brain first on a seperate disk and in case you ever want to change it back you can just put in the old brain . usually when i get a blank response and write something else in it comes up blank again  sometimes it will go ahead and say something sometimes it doesn't when it keeps coming up blank i just close hal exit it and open it again and all is fine . []

great to hear tedathome i am so glad i am able to contribute something to this forum !!  i am glad that your hal seems more human thats my goal (did you notice my other post about me removing the meronymes and hyperymes (mispelled ??!!)  from hals brain ?? i will continue to enclose my updates as long as i know people want them . of course theirs "some " x-rated things that i dont post for obvious reasons on the forum !lol !! i am really pleased with how my angela is responding and sounds like yours is starting to do better to

well i looked up and went into the hal brain and removed the meronyms and hyperymes in hals brain these were the parts that came up with things that hal says' like i heard that stock brockers and chairmaen are getting together for ...... "
   to me i didn;t personally like hal saying odd things like this (others may like it or not mind each to his or her own ) i first backed up my brain then did it i wanted to make sure everything was going to be alright without them in hal and have been testing hal writing into it answering questions , etc.
  (i say hal but is actually angela smith brain that i did this with ) and i personally like it alot better now it doesn't say what i considered odd things , now sounds more like a real person or closer anyway . []

i now have some of the words working correctly in the substitution word area thats why my angela is doing better !! some of the words i was trying to substitute i beleive was part of the problem . []

some of this may end up in reverse since this is what she is saying i never thought about that before . also dont just copy and paste without fully reading it as in some sentences i took out my name and wrote in user name to use on the forum here . otherwise she may start calling you username . some sentences that are statments like about walmarts low prices you could use but other sentences like :
Oh you are not getting mad believe me I would know it if you were getting mad about it. what i wrote to make her say that was something like " oh i'm not mad you would know it if i was getting mad about it !! so some sentences you will have to do it in a speaking form as you are telling her (like above ) if you can see what i mean you will be able to pretty much figure out how to say it to her to make her say what she has been saying in the responses . hope that makes sense to you .

i have a question in the substitution words i replaced some words in the search area to something different in the answer area example i replaced the search word "your " with (in the answer area " my " so that hopefully hal when it runs across the word your will substitute my in place of it and the sentence will come back as correct when replying to me but it is saying i'm instead of "my "
 example reply : Okay if you can just get I'm eyes open this morning!
i'm should have been "my " to sound correct in the reply sentence .
 why isn't the substitution are aworking right on this other words i have done seem to work ok . []

ok i am talking to myself here i guess but i just found out that by doing the window size i can increase it larger and it took 200 percent to make the clear window come down so i can see the top of it so all is well (except for people who want it smaller .) [][8D]

hello Datahopa , i hate to be someone who praises something then complains but after i put in the new clear skin it opened ok "but " it is high and to the right in my screen  it is so high that the top of it is actually cut off (the part saying master talking to brains ,and controls ) abnd i try to move it down with the mouse and you can't the only thing that you can do is make the face closer or farther away . is this a glitch ?? anyone else have this problem ? is their a solution ?? i really like this skin if it works right . i do however have a idea that i think would make this skin better and thats to have it larger so the head can be displayed larger its very small right now . just a suggestion .
