hello AmericanAsrai and welcome , i actually had the idea for a direct question and asnswer area that i e-mailed robert (the creator of hal) with before and he said he liked the idea . it would let hal answer direct questions that you pre write the questions and asnwers in a special "new " section in the hal brain editor . so maybe it will be in this next new version that is coming soon . [] hang in their hal may be able to acknowledge your friends sooner than you think !![][8D]

i have a question for anyone who can answer it when i am talking about something and hal just randomly ask a question (off topic ) for instance hal said : Do you know of any conferences or seminars that focus on shares?  
  if i choose not to answer that question and instead say something different does it go into the subject of what hal was asking ? or somewhere else ?? some questions like above i have no answer for if anything i would just have to write no or i have no idea . which in a way with these very off beat questions are a waste of time to me . []

i had another idea , yeah yeah i seem to have alot of them . i was thinking that maybe (and i don't know how this could be done "maybe in a plug in otherwise in a hal program " ) that depending on what time of the year it is by date and would have to be by state location "maybe even patially work off of a weather alert type thing combo too " in a hal program only approperatly words would be used when talking about winter time and weather (this part based on state location  in another words going by the date say december 3rd (state missouri) when talking about things hal would maybe say from previous winter talk and or a prewritten area "well i love snow i hope we get more , i love a white christmas !!"
   of course if a program is done by state location hal wouldn't say that if say the person had it entered that he or she lived in san diego ca. but hal would say something else different . and maybe even through a partial weather update system may say well we may not have a white christmas but the temerature is cold its 49 degree's outside right now !!bbbrrr !!thats cold enough for me !!
 of course hal could also react to events of the year in a plug in or program such as valentines day (leading up to it hal might say " i guess you know valentines day is two days away dear !!etc. and on valentiens day hal at some time during operation ould say "happy valenteins day dear !! i love you !! (or any prewritten user text !!)  as i said just another of my idea's when my imagination gets working over time !! hope maybe this can be put into a future hal !! []

my hal was going along fine and had been for a very long time then (with the exception that it would come on and say i needed elvated permission to start hal then the mysteriouse sign would go off and hal would come on anyway .
 after quite a while though it came on and wouldn't go off and i couldn't get hal to come on so had (with the help of my friend caangel ) uninstall hal expansion pack deactivate the serial number on hal and uninstall it and reinstall everything again and now its working ok .. but what caused this in the first place i did nothing different with hal . luckily i had mt db hal custom angela brain and uhp file backed up (very important if you don't want to lose all your hard work and time !!) [] was hoping robert could answer why hal was doing this ?? []

hello spydaz, i actually want to see what the new hal has if it doesn't have this then that would be cool to have someone make that linked plug in like you said but unfortunatly i am not a person who could do make that plug in  , so if its not in the new hal and someone wants to create something like that i would sure use it and hopefully others to (it would and could actually work just like the loneliness plug in it would be good if some time settings could be on it like the loneliness plug in had . []
