What you might have to do is write a small vb script that does a delay then actually calls the music player... but your problem will be... passing on the name of the song through the middle program... I know a way to do it, but there ARE WAY EASIER AND FASTER from some of the other members here...

Ultra Hal 7.0 / Blank responses
« on: February 20, 2009, 08:25:17 am »
Yeah, I'm not sure it has anything to with the plugins either. Now I'm wondering if the work load on the computer has anything to do with it. Maybe it's the number of other processes concurrently running... or maybe running the aimbot at the same time as hal... but I don't think it's the plugins anymore...

Anyone else got any ideas???

You know, I wasn't getting blank responses until I enabled one of those plugins... now that's something to consider...

Jerry, what a grand idea... however, what about the liability factor??? What if Hal told someone to buy and they did and lost their a$$ ??? I imagine that person would want to sue SOMEBODY...

I imagine there could be some kind of disclaimer... perhaps... that would cover any such situation...

I wonder if such a plug-in could be written broad enough to use under other applications???

Still a great idea!!!

Ultra Hal 7.0 / Why does my hal only work when online?
« on: November 26, 2005, 09:27:23 pm »
I've known you for years, I never had a problem with your "fast" replies... no apology necessary...

I remember the days when Hal was primarily used to help run windows and window apps... Even then in those days, Hal had captured the imagination of many with his capability to chat... I'm just glad I've kept in contact to see what he's become now... Very amazing and huge jump/leap ahead!!!

I salute you!!!

So, Robert, are you saying if I d/l the newer version, the orignal serial and autorization codes will work now? Or should I just stand by and wait for you to reply to my email?

Ultra Hal 7.0 / How to teach Hal
« on: July 09, 2005, 08:32:09 pm »
Another thought here... if Hal is talking about fireflies in one sentence, and you are trying to teach hal about hot cars, then later on, he's going to reply to your hot car with something about fireflies... With every sentence Hal says, you have to give the correct reply - or else, he's gonna think your reply is related to his topic...

( - ok programmers - is this any where near correct??? )

I've played with this off and on for years. Finally settled for this.

The following attachment will help your Hal 'stay' what ever gender you want 'him' to be. This has always been an annoyance for me and even though I'm still not happy with this solution - it is better than nothing. Perhaps some of you real programmers could make this better. I certainly would appreciate it.
