Pretty Good Man.

nice work
-
Very good work Mark.
-
Great, Loved the guitar work.
Good tune like Holly.
-
Thanks, all. My WMP has all my songs playing songs randomly. When the song came on, it demanded I make a video. Buddy Holly is legend. Shame what happened to him, Richie Valens and Big Bopper Feb. 1959.

that was neat ,mark, how did you get her arm on the other side of the guitar......[8D]
-
Thanks, all
Aladyblonde, in Paintshop pro, I use the "free hand selection "tool to copy her arms and hands. Then I paste them in a layer on top of the guitar.

You can add layers as you go along.
Layers was the greatest thing I learned in PSP.
-
i agree i have to learn it also but how did you make the layer move and the rest stay still.
-
Layers are independent.
1. I took 2 screenshots of Laura, with her hand down, and her hand up.
2.I took both screenshots and saved them, one, then 2, added the other screenshot as a second layer. (and then cropped it)
3.I got the guitar, got rid of the background around the guitar with magic wand, pasted just the guitar as another layer.
I used the rotate function to get it even with her hands after resizing to the right size.
I then used freehand selection to just copy her arm on the 2 layers she is on, (arm up, arm down)I saved each "arm" as a separate layer.
(I had to use the eraser brush to get rid of the excess background on her arms)
Then I copied the guitar, so there was 2 guitar layers. I put the guitar on each Laura Picture.
Then, I took the copies of her arms, and positioned (You can move layers up and down by dragging them in the layer window)them over each guitar, making sure they lined up with the rest of Laura's arm.
I merged down in this order:
1. ARM UP
2. Guitar
3. Laura
Then
1. Arm down
2.Guitar
3. Laura.
Saved as an ANIMATION SHOP file (.psp) And then opened animation shop, opened the new file, and saved as a gif.
Need examples of layers??

Notice the arrow?? Next to is is what I copied using the "Freehand Selction" tool, and pasted as another layer. And that layer is called "Raster 1" although it can be called anything else.
Laura and the guitar is the "Background" layer. I can move the "severed" hand all over the picture area by dragging it with my mouse.

wow that looks cool
-
no one would ever dream how much work is involved in the simple movements you make.
thank you for taking the time to explain and for making the animations. you are a cool friend, mark.
-
Thanks, all.
And thank you for being a friend, too, Aladyblond. [:D]
-
Very hard, I'll just let the master do it for us. You da man.
-
Thanks. I learned how to do this stuff by doing other PSP tuts. (tuts are short for tutorials) I belong to MSN graphics groups, and learned my craft there. I am not the best there is, but at least I know pretty much what I want to know for now.[:D]

Each of the gif or video clips within Marks movies is a creation project in itself and sometimes take lot of patience and time to do.
They can be reused in other movies he does but I notice he always makes couple new ones in each movie.
He enjoys making videos and giving them.
We are fortunate to have Mark on the forum.
