Ultra Hal Assistant File Sharing Area / Any way to use XTF with Hal 6.1?
« on: August 10, 2007, 10:29:28 pm »
Vonsmith,
I rarely have anything to say.  You guys are usually way over my head, and learn much just from reading.  I just wanted to say hi, and I miss your simple way of explaining solutions, ideas, and sage advice.  From the low brow and beginners, we missed you.

Ultra Hal 7.0 / XTF brains in Hal6

Thanks Hollywood, I think I am going to work with Hal6 for a little while before I backtrack.  I am so new to this; I think I better learn this one first.  I am seeing some impressive plugins for 6.

Ultra Hal 7.0 / XTF brains in Hal6

Forgive my ignorance, but I am very new to AI and Hal and have run into some problems with the XTF brain.

I have installed Hal6 and atempted to install the XTF brain and run into an instilation error;

                            "Error 76:
                            Path not found
                            Occured at line 17
                            in Ultra Hal Plug-in installer:
                            Form1, Form_Load"

I realize that the folders have changed in Hal6, and this is probably causing the error.  Here are my questions:

1.  In order to use the XTF brain in Hal6, will I need to uninstall 6 and install 5, install the XTF and then re install 6?  I could not locate the folders for a manual installation.

2.  Does anyone have a better idea?

3.  Do you know where I can find Hal5?

Thanks for any and all help.
