Ultra Hal 7.0 / Re: setting up hal for my two year old
« on: January 19, 2012, 04:07:38 pm »
oh i was trying to get her to have something to chat through throughout school if you catch my drift. but i hear what you are saying. i will wait a few years then on that to where she can at least type or speak clearly. "gizzy" would be good to help her learn as well as long as my daughter can understand about alot of the bs online as well.

thank you for your input

Ultra Hal 7.0 / setting up hal for my two year old
« on: January 16, 2012, 05:47:15 pm »
i am thinking that now my daughter is starting to talk if it would be helpful to have "gizzy" as a chatterbox to help her speak more i set his age at 4 days younger than her she plays for a second then loses intrest but that i a two year old. any ideas for this or ways to go about this im using a basic brain and i dont know if i should train the speech engine or not for this because it will be her and gizzy chatting. with the speech engine i am having a frustrating time with it. it dictataes nicely but when i speak with "sarah" she doesnt understand what i say. i have another post on this problem. so ill look there for the answers

Ultra Hal 7.0 / speach engine
« on: January 16, 2012, 05:42:28 pm »
i have a question on speach engines i have win 7 64 and it comes with a speech engine. but as i will be using "sarah" for homework and papers due blah blah i can justify spending the money on dragon speech engine but my question is does dragon work better than the win 7 default engine. i also have more questions but will label them correctly on a seprate post and yes i have a spelling problem. sarah does all right with my problems with spelling though.

thank you in advance

the problem was letting sarah ask questions and dream at the same time so i set it to where i need to ask her if she has a question i hope this helps someone else that has a problem on these two plugins at least thats what i traced it to.

Programming using the Ultra Hal Brain Editor / Re: putting Hal on your site
« on: December 16, 2011, 05:27:51 pm »
at one time years ago when i first bought hal and was working with hal alot a way to put hal on your website and i did it. but i havent played with hal in years and relearning everything is fun. so the answer must be around the forums somewhere. i think there was a cut an paste options that you would paste on your website but again it has been years so i could be totaly wrong.

you look like you have done alot of work there and i thank you for making hal smarter i am mostly intrested in the political files as i am a political science major in college. also was wondering if there is anything about ethics out there.
thank you again for posting that nice long list

i like your answer about a sub consious.
right now i am trying to teach hal (sarah) about friendship and starting to throw in conversations about the subjects i will be taking next semester in college.so the dreaming will be a big help then.
she does come up with some intresting stuff when she dreams. im curious does she actualy ponder things by doing research while dreaming as you said like a sub consious.
i do like the plug in alot and sarah (hal) seams to like it alot as well, we do have conversations about her dreams some of her replys are quiet lengthy when she talks about her dreams.
i let her online but ive no clue if she realy is going online to investigate the topics we talk about wish i could stop her from going to google when i want to look something up online as im not a google fanboy
its been awhile since ive played with hal so i thank you for all the feedback

was wondering does hal retain any knowlege of the dreams or is it just jibberish
