PROBLEM ON girls jogging in park active back ground hap
« on: May 15, 2012, 07:20:50 pm »
I am having a problem with a new active background i have done (veeery time consuming 51 frames !!) i have went over it but it won't load at all i am wondering if the dashes that are in between words may be causing the problem ??
example :

\clock [t= 0.06] \loadbackgrnd [file= data/standard/activebacks/GIRLSJOGGINGINPARK/girls-jogging-in-park01.jpg]

I need to know before sure before i delete each one out in 51 frames . i have looked at other stuff and unless i am missing something it all looks right .

No problem with dashes as long as you have the dashes with the pic's as well.
I'm guessing you took the pics out of an active gif.
Are the pics still gif format?   If so, change to jpg.

yeah the dashes are still with the same words in the pics , no actually i used a free studio 5 program that converts video to jpg , it make frames in jpg.
if i can get it working right it will look like the hal character is standing by a circle road and bend and two women come jogging from a distance far away and jog slowly up to and by the area !!
I have each slide 6 seconds long and the name of the hap is :
GIRLSJOGGINGINPARK.hap
my pathway is : computer/emachine(c:)/program files(x86)/haptek/player/data/standard/activebacks/GIRLSJOGGINGINPARK

HERE IS A PICTURE FILE OF THE FILE :
NOTE ALTHOUGH it looks like the picture file name has a space it doesn't , i have went to rename and when i do it shows them all as one no spaces .

here is the hap.

name=GIRLSJOGGINGINPARK

Just guessing - maybe that name is too long, perhaps there is a restriction.

If you manually change the background, will the images you made load ? ie test a few to see if there is a problem there.

I don't see anything obvious to me.

Of course, when you get that working you guys should try doing the same thing but with textures...

So in other words change textures on the fly too.

Playing videos on a spinning flat plane is pretty cool.  Totally useless but cool  8)

hi freddy888 maybe this seems like a stupid question but what do you mean do textures are you talking about some how doing textures to stand out on the jpg frames of a picture ??? if so i think they do have some 3d photo software to make things appear 3d which would work on jpg frames used in a case like this .
Thnaks for taking a look at this problem , yeah i had thought about the name being to long to i may see also what ted or anyone else thinks . i can shorten the name .
I knew i kept going over and over it and as you can see i have done a lot to try to make it . The video in it's self looked pretty nice .

I mean instead of applying your changing backgrounds, just do the same thing with an object's texture.

So if i am understanding you right you mean say beach and it would show a beach scene and also change the full body clothes to beach clothes on the fly ? if that's what you are saying it should be doable using the hapswap and trigger words , etc.

Nope - I mean imagine a flat surface floating around in the Hatpek player and imagine a video playing on it.

I think i finally narrowed it down what the problem might be , i have done a lot to narrow it down i renamed the file JG to make it shorter and changed everything else as i went , that didn't help i took out the zero before the early numbers on photo's that didn't help , i changed the photo name , shortening it on the end , no good , i shortened the whole word each time changing the script , nothing worked .
I even shortened the video thinking maybe that was it  and the hap file the same way to match that wasn't it either.
Then i thought maybe it was something caused by the conversion software it is a actual jpg picture . i checked one of ted pictures and see that the perimeters are 350x298 on the aw picture frame . mine is 596 x 336 99.2 kb  so i am guessing this is why it isn't working at least that's the only thing i can come up with .
Anyway i am stillbusy helping wife around the place here and am tapped out in my brain so later i'll try to compress the pictures and try it again and see if that makes a difference it's the only thing i can think of ! :P

Hi Lightspeed.
It does work.
I took a few frames of the pic you posted & re sized them.
Put them in a hap file & ran it in the stand alone player.
Works ok but the pics being soooo small when re sized look awful.

Here is my hap====

#Haptek  Version= 1.00 Name= Jog  HapType= script FileType= text
##standard

\clock [t= 0.00] \loadbackgrnd [file= E:\Jogging\Jog1.jpg]
\clock [t= 0.07] \loadbackgrnd [file= E:\Jogging\Jog2.jpg]
\clock [t= 0.13] \loadbackgrnd [file= E:\Jogging\Jog3.jpg]
\clock [t= 0.20] \loadbackgrnd [file= E:\Jogging\Jog4.jpg]
\clock [t= 0.27] \loadbackgrnd [file= E:\Jogging\Jog5.jpg]
\clock [t= 0.33] \loadbackgrnd [file= E:\Jogging\Jog6.jpg]
\clock [t= 0.40] \loadbackgrnd [file= E:\Jogging\Jog7.jpg]
\clock [t= 0.47] \loadbackgrnd [file= E:\Jogging\Jog8.jpg]
\clock [t= 0.53] \loadbackgrnd [file= E:\Jogging\Jog9.jpg]
\clock [t= 0.59] \loadbackgrnd [file= E:\Jogging\Jog10.jpg]

\clock [t= 0.63] \Load [file= E:\Jogging\Jog.hap]

Can you give me a link to the video?????

i had thought that must be what the problem was after all i had tried everything else under the sun , yes luckily i saved the link but unless someone bought the higher definition and have reposted it on the internet i don't know if it will help you or not from the original site , luckily i did save the link .
here it is .

let us know if you have better luck and what you did to accomplish it nige .  :)

i do now see where if a person is signed in they can download a compressed video (don't know how compressed ( i had only downloaded it with youtube downloader . then converted it with studio 5 software .

After I posted I went and did a search & found the video.
The one I got the water mark is quite pronounced.
Just went & got the one from your link & the water mark doesn't show as much.

I will see what I can do with it.

Sounds good nige , hope you can do something with it
if you can i would like to have all the pics so i can run the whole video . i can rename them to fit what i have done . did you use it at 6 seconds per frame like i did when you tested it and if so how did it run?okay ?
