ALICE PROBLEMS

I am having trouble With MY HALALICE...[:p]

When i went to the ALICE site I downloaded the ANOTATED ALICE FILES
And wanted to add them in ... SO I DID .. I edited the C.aiml FILE
when i ran the AC.EXE

IT CRASHED errors in the aiml files....[8]

I AM NOT A AIML PROGRAMMER (i not sure if i want to yet)[B)]

How do i know which AIML files are compatible With OUR HAL.[B)]

I Just Want To download the AIML.brainfiles and add them...[:I]

LET HAL TAKE CARE OF THE RESPONSES[8D]

The long and the short of it is that the AAA files are still very buggy. They are full of coding errors made by Dr. Wallace. He's going back through and correcting them, but there hasn't been a new version release yet. The set was only initially released last Sept., so it may be a while before it's generally functional. So far, the AAA set only actually works with Pandorbots, and in extremely tolerant desktop Alice engines like Program P. You might try a different source for the aiml set, like aiml.info, or by joining Pandorabots and downloading the aiml files from there. But Active Alice-the implementation UltraHal uses-is pretty old, so you may just be out of luck as concerns adding it to your Hal bot, it may just not be compatible with them. My Lilith bot uses the AAA set, and I like the new subject-indexed approach better than the previous alphanumerical sorting, but there are a lot of places where I open code to edit, and can't get it to close again due to intrinsic coding error. Just to save you some time and aggravation, lol, the same is true for the Anna aiml set, which I can't even upload to Pandorabots due to coding errors.

MY FUNCTIONS ARE STILL NOT IN THERE, Mainly because this brain is mainly AN intelegent brain and not aN os Assitant brain.

DO TRY IT, AS IT RESPONDS WELL.. VERY INTEL...

STILL THERE ARE MUCH MORE SCRIPTS OUT THERE THAT I havent included (mainly I couldnt Get them to work).

IE: SING A SONG HAL... (teach nursry rhyme)
    Play a specific song
    a few mor But i am working ON THEM.

program D is the HalAlice plugin, programe (program E)
should also be compatible with some checking for syntax.

Try just one/two aiml files at a time to see if they "take".

heh, not that ez... the halalice is a "wrapper" for another
wrapper... so if look into ntcanuck.com/Hal/aiml/alicebot.zip
you will find source code for HalAlice and list of bugs.
It seems the wrapper is incomplete, topics and scripts will
not work as in the normal Alice/Anna type bots (at moment).

This may at moment be an aimbot type 2-3 way conversation,
not sure as still trying to get xp sp2 to load the halalice
plugin object, let you know if/when find method/cure.

I did have a look at Ellaz which is now (i think) AIBush,
but AIBush uses an html window (IE browser) inside the
AIBush GUI (interface) to display pre-made html files and
not a database expansion like wordnet that Hal or Alice
can actually parse and use themselves.
