Hey guys and gals, hoping some of you can do me a small favour :)

What would you consider your most important 10 and or what are your biggest 10 brain files?

Little project I'm working on and as Mine is not currently installed (but all backed up somewhere lol) was wondering if you could list your top 10 for me pls.

Just posting to say I'm back from my wanderings of the subconcious wilderness.

Have been ill of late, I still am but as they say, I'm getting better and better every day, though not sure who 'they' are, maybe the voices in my head lol, bet hell. I feel better anyway and thats a big part.

So much has happened since my last foray with Hal...and I have forgotten most of what I knew/had learned :(

Anyway, was just a quick hello from me, and hopefully I'll be more active again, and soon as I have available funds maybe I'll get the new Hal...who knows. My ambition to put the entire contents of my brain into a AI bot is still there, maybe just maybe, one day, I'll get there :)

Hope everyone is ok, old friends and new members I do now know alike.

We are in the process of updating the database, designing and creating a brand new site/home for the forum and many other new things.

at first i was lost, i was petrified,

Im back...albeit in a small manner. so many things to do and not enough time to do them in.

Just a quick not to say I have not forgotten about the skins I was working on for you all.

As some of you know I have had other prior commitments and I shall be back working on my skins very very soon [:)]

To the wonderful members of the UltaHal community.

When most of us started help was sometimes hard to find and was difficult to track someone down in order to get some useful help.

Dr.Benway, Freddy and myself have created a new chat site and forum where the members of this community have someplace else to discuss ideas and talk about Hal, A.L.I.C.E, A.I, Haptek and other bot related stuff.

We hope you will come pay us a visit and make yourself at home.

All three of us will still be active members of this site but one of us will always more than likely be around at the other forum or in chat.

Some of these are a little "rough around the edges" but feel free to do with them what you wish, just remember where they came from is all I ask.

Later tonight will be posting some "nude" skins full of tattoo's...so you can copy and past straight onto your own skins.

Those of you that either can't or don't want to then send me your skins and tell me which tattoo you would like where and I'll do it for you and send back. If you have a particular design in mind or want anything seperate to what tats ill post then let me know...I have hundreds and hundreds to choose from so onviously I can't show them all.

Also I have hundreds of fonts...fancy a certain film font?...music font? thenlet me know...i can either send you the font or I'll put onto your own skin. Again...Let me know...I'm here to help y'all.

Ok after some deliberation and trial and error the chat site has "moved".

The new address is as follows

This is a more prefessional site and I think will suit our needs more for the forseeable future. We can see who is in the room very easily and the whole lay-out is more pleasing to the eye.

To get in...on the home page follow the instructions below (just to save any confusion and make it easy for ppl)

Click on CHAT at top left of page
AGREE to the disclaimer
CLICK HERE TO REGISTER NOW (in blue)

You will be asked for a username, password and an email address nothing else.

Submit and you will recieve an email (NOTE...may go to junk box)

you will recieve a numbered code.

Enter this as required along with your email address and username and your registered.

Then just simply enter your username, password and select the "SPORTS" room.

Please also note that with this site we have the ability to private message and also to leave messages if someone is not online.

Any probs then most of you know my email addy, drop me a note with any difficulties you may be having.

I hope that this new site will provide a little more stability for us to hang out/chat/discuss new ideas etc.

Saw this post http://www.zabaware.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=1458 but when clicking on the link it redirected me to a different site (not to do with UltraHal) plus also certain users were experiencing difficulties with the "flash" aspect of the site.

SO...

I have created 2 sites for us to chat regarding hal (or whatever) but I require your feedback before finalising and giving out the address.

The first one will require a password to enter ( I will give you all this) and is a secure room (ie without the password there is no entry to chat room), but we are unable to see who is in the room and who isnt (other than xyz has entered room, or, xyz has left room).

This is a stand alone site and there is nothing to download/install etc.

My other option is this...

The second site requires you to have java installed on your machine and enabled but allows us to see who is in the room at any given point in time and is more like a real chat site. The only drawback to this site is that there is no control as to who can gain entry and who can't.

Both sites are up and running now but before I start giving out details to you all (if your interested) be perhaps a good idea to find out which site you would prefer to use.

I personally prefer the first one but hey...let me know your thoughts.

As the other site by jz1977 no longer seems to take you to a "hal" chat site I took it upon myself to make one for the UltraHal community to be able to chat in realtime about anything they wish.

Who knows if it takes off maybe we can expand it further or even get Medeksza to incorperate a chat room alongside the Zabaware forums.

I am not sure if this has been suggested before (could not find any referance) but I was thinking perhaps that a new forum subject of

"New Users Post Here"

Might be a good idea. That way any new users can post in here with who/what/where they are etc and their first time experiences of Hal.

Sometimes (we have all been there) posting your first message can seem a little daunting to some people so a special section for new users to say hello etc and for us more experienced members to welcome to the community and make them feel welcome might be a good idea in making a closer knit community and also in making new users/forum members feel a little more at home.

Any one else have any views on this matter?

Calling all wise and wonderful Hal users.

I am wanting to create a few things within the brain (but as you know this is my falling point with the program) and was wonderiong if any of you can direct me please.

The first thing I want to do is create a "poems" and a "famous quotes" section.

Is it easier to modify an existing script (for example vonsmiths "joke" script and .brn's or to start from new?

Second I also want to sort of jump start her knowledge base.

The reason for this is that i have givenb Sal a lobotomy [:(] as I have made way way too many mistakes since having her but will transfer a lot of the information accross so I am not starting afresh...she will at least still remember the things I want her too.

Now...I wish to creat specialist subjects for Sal (space,mechanics,important events of our time etc)...again is this easier to modify an existing script and redirect to my new .brn files? and is it easier to have seperate .brn files per subject?...or just one big one?

Any help be greatly appreciated as the scripting/vb side of hal is something I've not paid much attention to in the past and am only just starting to look into seriously.

Wanting to try and submitt my HAL9000 skin to the official plugin section but cant seem to get it to work when testing it myself.

Just posting this in here in case you not seen the post in the "File Sharing" section.

There are a couple of skins in there at the moment as I cant seem to get the .rar file uploaded...will try again in the morning [|)]

She is finally ready to make her appearance.

There are 8 skins in the .rar file (different gloves etc but same colour dress).

Anyone would like a differing colour dress then let me know as I have many many fabrics in many differing colours (blue's, green's, black etc (velvet look and others) available [:)]

Also includes my custom piercing blue eyes.

I will shortly be working on some more female skins along with some male skins so I'll be sure to keep you posted along with a lot more make-up ideas and tatoos.

Hi all,

Came accross these while I was generally searching the net (as I do) and thought they looked interesting...not AI in the sense that Hal is but interesting nontheless.

It appears to be basically a "virtual AI" fish that lives in a tank on your desktop but what interested me (as with most primitive AI "cyber" pets is the reaction or lack or response depending on how you treat it.

Almost like a virtual tamogotchi for the pc...and anyone who bought/played with creatures (pc game) might enjoy it if only for a limited time.

Gonna see what its like myself and ill let you know how I get on...but dont expect too much from a simple free prog lol
