Teaching Hal from Text
« on: March 02, 2004, 04:08:04 pm »
Is there a way to make Hal read from several text files in succession of one another?  I don't know about anyone else, but I don't really have the time to sit down and feed him text file after text file.  It'd be nice if I could just set several text files (perhaps even entire folders) for reading and let it do its job.  Is this at all possible?

You might want to browse the forum for discussions about Hal reading text files.

For example, this thread

Solution is easy.
Put every text files in single folder. Go into this folder through a dos-box. Then execute this command "type * > alltexts.txt".
All the text files are now in a the single file called alltexts.txt.

Beware. There is a size limitation for text files Hal can read.
