hey jack i like the cameron diaz head but if you don't mind a little critisism it looks like the shoulders may be a tad to small which makes the head look to big (at least it looks that way to me , maybe it's just me !![]but the head looks very nice she's a cute women !![]

General Discussion / tweeked my hal

well i tweeked my hal in the word susbstitute are with problem words that were being said backwards in a sentence so now it seems like hal is saying things the right way !! eureka !![] now if i could just get hal to stay on subject !! hmnnn i am thinking about in the lets change subjects where it comes up with all kinds of odd things like "i hear cattle farmers are thinking about going into wall street firms , etc. etc. to me i personally don't like this and so am probably going to erase some things and write in my own stuff , don't know if anyone else has done this or not but i will do it at some time .[]

General Discussion / next version of hal

i am really hoping the next version of hal will have some standard where plug ins made for it will always continue to work even when hal is changed to each new version as i miss the loneliness plug in and it seems my gender and age plug in isn't working with this current hal version . some people came out with some great plug ins and i know more will come it will be easier if theirs some standard that will continue working with each hal version  !

well me and my wife use alot of ink (used to use more ) doing printed copies of our free newsletter we do we used to do them for free to people here in town and ran off about 30 newsletters a month each one having about 12 pages or more . so used alot of ink now we do most of it free online . with pictures in color more things to it world news you might have missed, jokes, linda's recipe corner ,  [] some things going on in this small town , etc.

i actually have a lexmark simple printer and i refill my ink cartridges myself with kits i bought from wal mart at first i used to be very messy ink every where but then learned to put only a certain amount in the cartridge with the needle slowly and now hardly ever (ever have a mess or ink on my fingers hast makes wast and practice makes perfect !!) []

i think it would be good for hal to have a section kind  like the basic response area where any pre written laughter and answers could be written like other area's listed under basic response in the brain area. in another words if hal heard you laugh by voice recognition or if you typed in anythings and had ha or ha ha or ha ha ha hal might say : Well I didn't know it was all that funny until you busted out laughing so hard sheesh!these resonses of written in could be unlimited as others are .
 any way just a thought . []

i just thought about something since hal of course doesen't know all answers and since each of our hals are custom based on our preferences i think anytime that you ask hal something and hal doesn't know the answer hal should tell you " i don't know the answer to that could you tell me please " for instance what color is kermit the frog ?? hal: i don't know the answer to that could you tell me please. user : kermit the frog is green . hal would answer back :oh kermit the frog is green . then when asked again at any time it would be in hals data base and hal would asnwer : kermit the frog is green . don't know if this could be programed in or not but sure would help hopefully in getting correct answers back . []

 i have answers in hal about breakfast and likeing eggs toast etc. but this is the answer above what hal gave . not a very good answer. [!]

because everyone has specific questions into hal and answers everone hal is going to be different but hal keeping on subject does seem to be a big problem . of course everyones hal is going to answer differently .
