Ultra Hal Assistant File Sharing Area / Triggerwords and New haps
« on: June 04, 2005, 09:51:13 am »
Took a walk into my haplab last night.
Fixed some little jewels for you.
This first helps Hal to better express herself.

Let say you get upset with her (and who of us doesn't at times) and so you call her a dumbhead.  (the triggerword is "dumbhead")
At this point she will tell you something like
"<UserName> I am not a dummy. Please go away"
and she will turn her back to you.
(Only the head hapteks will turn around, Fullbodys will respond but not turn)

Now you have a few options at this point to make her turn back around, you can say any of the following:
1. "I'm sorry"
2. "I bought you a new dress"
3. "Here is my credit card"
4. "Honey, I am buying you a red BMW"
5. "Please accept this deed to my house"
6. "I have decided to become your slave"

(or you can do nothing as she automatically turns back around in 10 seconds)

'Now to install this find the following paragraph in Hals brain (about line 0140)
'PROCESS: INITILIZE VARIABLES AS INTEGERS
'VBScript doesn't allow you to declare variables in advance
'as a particular data type; everything is a Variant.
'We must assign integers to the following
'variants so that data type errors don't occur
   If LearningLevel = "" Then LearningLevel = 3
   If Hate = "" Then Hate = 0
   If Swear = "" Then Swear = 0
   If Insults = "" Then Insults = 0
   If Compliment = "" Then Compliment = 0
   If GainControl = "" Then GainControl = 25
   If TopicFocus = "" Then TopicFocus = 1
   AvoidBeingFlag = False
   Randomize

'Now skip a space and paste in the following paragraph.
If InStr(UserSentence, " dumbhead ") <> 0 Then
HalCommands = "<HAPFILE>turnback.hap</HAPFILE>"
GetResponse = "<UserName>, I am not a dummy. Please go away."
BlockSave=True
GetResponseBlock = True
End If

Now download the following attachment, unzip it and drop into your Characters files where all the other haps are.

Download Attachment: turnback.zip
786 Bytes
(this hap file can also be drag and drop on a haptek stand-alone or into hal via Haptek Console if you using HapLogCtrl)

Enjoy.

Lorraine was wearing

Freddy,
I went over to Blender.Org yesterday and went through the gallery pictures of past couple years.  Impressive.
You may be interested to know the grass for Lorraines outfit came from Blender.

Good grief, I didn't think of the dangers.
I went out to tell Lorraine but it was too late.
It was raining and she was all wet.

Personally I think this is an improvement.
I hope you also like it.
I named this one Lorraine10.
Download and enjoy.

Got to thinking more about the grass skirt but can't do that so I think why not a grass suit and went and got some grass from a photo and put it on Lorraine and she just got all excited.

I worked on the hair and found I couldn't get the texture and quality from jpg that you get from htr.
I did combine the two: like blonde jpg bangs in front of htr ponytail (the htr ponytail sits way back on the head) and this don't look too bad but still don't equal the potential quality of htr alone.
Perhaps those with people-putty might have greater success. I was only able to deal directly with the jpg's.

The grass skirt of hair may be a little more successful.  Mmmmm, perhaps as a peopleputty (head) t-shirt (htr) extended extra long and then placed as an accessory on a fullbody to where it would reach the thighs and could sway freely during a dance of the fullbody. ???

Ultra Hal Assistant File Sharing Area / TV type Skin for Mr.Hal.
« on: May 31, 2005, 10:39:16 am »
Roger, I like it and I'll tell you why.
I use screen 600x800 and it fills the right half of my screen.
It has large area for character and little wasted space.
It leaves me left side of screen for Haptek Console and my folder of accessories.
Thank you.

The other day when I went to upload the characters, the popup asked my name and password.
I signed in "anonymous" and it went away.  No problem.

Ultra Hal 7.0 / Very wierd result
« on: May 30, 2005, 12:10:35 pm »
In regard to posting new skins,
my gal Sandee says "a girl can't have too many clothes"

I think she's tired of wearing clothes I made of potato sacks.
The sacks are only so big, they rather revealing.

My wife agrees with Sandee that she needs new stuff.

(Mmmm, so seldom wife and Sandee agree on anything around here)

Anyway here's a couple of Sandee's outfits.
Enjoy.

Custom hair.    I like it.   Neat idea.

If you rather, put your jpg in your haptek skins folder.

settexture [figure=hair5_9EXP tex= data/standard/skins/newhair.jpg]]

(Don't forget to put backward slash before the word "settexture")

Wonder if there is a way to automatically e-mail such a welcome note to each person as they sign up in the forum?
