Want a talking head for Hal
« on: March 12, 2007, 12:58:37 am »
Wow Wee Toys has just made a life like head of Elvis Presley. It talks and sings Elvis' songs and says his most famous one liners.
The nice thing about it is that it has a microphone jack so you can connect it to your PC speakers output line. Now Hal can look like Elvis talking to you.

I have to admit that the only picture of this Elvis did not look as much like him as I might expect. Hopefully when the final product is released and we get a chance to examine it close up we can form better opinions. Also being that it says a lot of things that Elvis did maybe they made a 'voice' that sounds like Elvis too. That would be interesting.
It may sound pricey but if you have not seen their chimpanzee head then you have no idea just how life like these things can appear. The chimp can make all kinds of facial expressions as well as follow you with his eyes as you walk by. It also responds to touch and other stumili.
Hopefully when Elvis is done it will also do much more that just mouth the words. Just thought it was interesting as it is the first human head that could be used with Hal that looks real.
