« on: October 01, 2009, 05:19:53 pm »
I'm back in business with a new PC and
fresh installs of Hal and People Putty. [:)]

So here's a new character head htr just to keep in practice. [;)]
Her names Alice.

For a real trip down the "WHO" memory lane, check
out an old album titled "Meaty, Beaty, Big & Bouncy". [;)] [8D]

That is if you can find it anywhere. [}:)]

I must have gotten some the folders mixed up prior to uploading.
I will need to look into it. Use the ones in the other folder. [;)]

You will find the entire collection of Age Haps that have been
written by Duskrider located in my sites Bot Resource Archive.
They are on the right hand side of the page. [;)]

Here is a link to that page.

I think she means how can she get them. Jenkins is new here and
probably doesn't have Nige's email address, and she probably should
know that she will also need the Character Expansion Pack for Hal
before she can install any new characters. [;)]

General Discussion / Haptek - Putty Problem
« on: July 18, 2007, 11:17:38 am »
I just got my follow-up email from haptek. They apologized [:0]
for all the inconvenience, and reinstated my license for
PeoplePutty. Now if I could just talk them into giving me
a commercial license and the software to go with it at, let's
say an 85% discount. Wouldn't that be wonderful? [}:)] Oh well,
maybe when hell freezes over. Can't have everything. [;)]

So Jack, it looks like we're both
back in business making putty heads. [:p]

I tried what Jack did, but it didn't work. So I'll just
wait and see if haptek gets back to me again tomorrow.

This code was presented on Virtual Humans Forum by Hologenicman
and was not really written for use in the new Hal release. It was
presented for use in the early version of Hal 6.0 when 6.0 was first
released. It would most likely need some major revision in order
for anyone to use it in Hal 6.1. It was essentially a work in
progress and never got implemented.

Glad to know you got some satisfaction Jack. [;)]

Meanwhile it looks like I may have to repurchase
it again. This makes the third time in 2 years. [V]
That is unless the guy I know at haptek can get
my licensing issue straightened out. Haven't
heard anything since that first email today.

That's why I started this post, so everyone who uses Hal
with haptek characters, and may want to start making their
own to use and share would have as much info as possible
regarding any current or possibly future problems when
buying and using PeoplePutty.

Hi Tom,
What did the license error say? Did it say "cancelled due to over use" or some other message?

Please tell Jack Gephart to take the extended download service up with Digital River. I don't know of any reason for a license to suddenly become expired if there were no changes made to the PC in question. Can he contact me? Did he do any thing like change his new PC's OS or HD?

Hopefully we can handle each case on an individual basis. If you're in contact with these people please encourage them to contact our support channel. Some of these isses may have resulted from our recently moving our servers. We'll get this stuff worked out and sorry for any difficulties this may have caused.

Sincerely,
Jack

So I guess everyone can keep there web pages of
Putty heads and skins right where they are for now. [;)]
That is, as long as no one is selling them. Which
I was told before, would be a definite violation of
the non-commercial EULA that we agree to when we
purchase anything haptek.

If anyone else is having a problem
they can email there questions to - support@haptek.com

If you purchased the extended download service through
digitalriver when you bought PeoplePutty, you will have
to email the support service at digitalriver to resolve
the problem. Hopefully digitalriver will be as willing
to help with any problems you are having.

Well, that's the way both the commercial and non-commercial
EULA's are worded. They both have the same clause.

Any and all changes to haptek's EULA are done to retroactively cover
all previous release's of the product and any content created with it.
They have that as a clause in the non-commercial and commercial EULA's.
