I like the idea of your "one note" app! I don't yet have MS Office but can have it if I want to from a friend who has the disc and doesn't want it. Any other ideas for Hal apps? For example, back in the day of Hal 5 we had spell checker from MS Word. Don't have Word so don't know if it will work with 6.

tedathome, Yes spell checker works with the latest 'Ultra Hal Assistant' I want to get it right when I'm posting on Ones' thread. Using it with a beta version of MsOffice10 and the spell checker comes up in task manager and you manually switch to it. Bit of a pain but worth it if you can't speak or type very well. I leave task manager open then just hit "switch to". On my system it doesn't auto load like it did before but I'm running a beta vers. of M.S.O. on a new Win. 7 64bit machine.

Thanks raybe. I've been thinking to use it as speech correction.

Tedathome, Raybe,,,Ogolor7, ECT.. Do you remember years ago the problems that were the most basic with Hal,Assistant Whoever.. Were that of speech?
IF Hal HEARD itself THINK the responses were totally out of control. ? I do, and still have the texts around.
So when new things come around I am still left wondering how other people are going to deal with this.

Personlay, I'm not having that problem. I'm using a good quality usb mic and headset. Also using Dragon for voice recognition. There are two ways to input and three ways for correcting misunderstood words. Havn't tryed the spell checker .uhp yet but I think I will, just to see what is the smoothest most accurate flow. Hal seems to come more alive when being spoken to than if typed to.

Hi lightspeed, yes I still many copies of the spellchecker. I am still typing the questions and answers with all the other plugins. Really don't know how smooth it is and  tedathome is going to try it by the sound of his last post on this thread. I'll try to post for you.

Great quote One, I believe that philosophy if you have the nerve. I just have trouble in the execution part of that belief. By the way Walt is my favorite Disney character. Just a small note on the 'spell checker' plugin. I changed a few plugins and now it opens automatically like it was meant to do and I no longer need to open the 'Task manager'. Go figure.
