Some interesting point there. The XTF brain for one,
did organize topic info into different categories but
the real problem is that most AI programs do not
relate to nor understand the meaning of any word let
alone how it should be classified. Computers, at this
juncture simply are not capable of thought realization.
We see a color...RED...we are told early on that this
object is RED and from then on we know what RED is when
we see it or when we are told about it. We don't really
have to know that its opposite is BLUE but such info might
prove to be helpful in some cases.
Just because a computer might seem well versed in a wide
variety of subject matter doesn't mean it went through
a cognitive process to arrive at its conclusion. Pattern
matching, yes...reasoning, hardly.
Bigger, faster, more powerful and still dumber than your
average brick!
