Ive installed the free trial and all appeared well when installing but on restart and launching Halassistant i immediatley get the error message "System Error &H8007007E (-2147024770)." any ideas as to the cause?
Cheers
Mark.
try updating your machine recently?
As an avid games player all my drivers, directx and windows xp are fully upto date the system is far above the minimum spec required for Halassistant.
The problem appears to be with a file that Hal uses which wasnt correctly registered..not sure which one or why but this program
http://www.superlogix.net
fixed the problem after it cleaned the registry and i reinstalled Hal.
Hope this helps any future users .

An other possible cause can be the Haptek Player ... Try to use a 2D character...
