what would cause a illegal assignment in "get response " of hal ??? what exactly does it mean ??

Is this error contained in a Plug-in or in Hal? What exactly are you attempting?
It sounds like you have number for a letter entry or vice versa. Did you try to set up an array?

well it came on out of the blue , so am not sure it could be a left over error within one of my random? responses >:(. thanks art , now i have something to go on to look for . :)
