I'm hoping that one of you kind folk can direct me to a line editor.

I use WordPad exclusively that comes with Windows. I don't recommend using Notepad as it sometimes adds comments of its own and can screw up Hal.

Hi Hollywood.
You can use the free version of Crimson Editor, It has full code Syntax and the ability to customize Syntax colors, You can change background colors, It's a pretty good free Line editor and the Payed version is worth its price, The free version also has no Nags or Adds.
Get it here: http://www.crimsoneditor.com/
I use the Crimson Editor in tandom with the HAL Editor.
I am waiting to see if Robert has taken my suggestion of building a Super HAL Editor that would make all Programmers drool.
The Super HAL Editor could be sold as a separate item so that way Robert could make some extra money on his tour with A.I.
I know I'd buy it for sure, I live in Syntax Line Editors 24/7.
Remember Colored Syntax helps to track down mistakes in programming as well, Colored Syntax will help your coding experience be more enjoyful.
