How do I remove the balloon text and not use it at all?

Seriously, you can turn them off in some programs, like MASH.

Yes, as you probably realized, balloon text is the output that comes with the msagent's response. You can usually turn it off in most applications that utilize the msagent. But.... UH does not have the option or if it does, I couldn't find it.
I used Mash to turn it off but when running UH 6.138 it reappears.
I reinstalled a sapi4 from Acapela and voila ! It went away.
I had previously tried reinstalling sapi4 and sapi5 from MS and other sources and UH 6.1 but the balloon text remained. Not until the installation of "Heather" from Acapela Group did it go away.
Anyway, thanks for your attention.

Balloon text should only appear if you use a SAPI 5 voice which isn't compatible with MSAgents pre-vista. When you use a SAPI 5 voice Hal internally generate speech and tells the agent to use balloon text to make up for the lack of lip sync. If you choose a SAPI 4 voice, it should go away.
