Title: Can't open General Options

I've installed the HAL 6.1 trial and although it loads I'm getting no response from anything I type. I have went to the menu and tried to open General Options but it won't open. I have also tried to access General Options from the taskbar icon but that doesn't work either. I'm running Windows Vista on an Athlon 64 X2 4400+ with 2GB memory and a 320 GB HD. I disabled my virus software and firewall before installation and Vista is up to date. Any clues? Thanks

I have this same problem with Ultra Hal when trying to use it on Vista!

When I install on XP, there is no problems.

This was mentioned in a previous post also.

The General Options cannot be opened!

Thought by now a few would have a solution for this issue!

I run mine on Vista Ultimate X64.

First thing is to try installing to the C:/Program Files directory and Not to the C:/Program Files(x86) one.
That helps alot of problems.

Second, of course open as Administrator or set in the properties (right click) to always open as admin.

Just make sure everything is up to date, never hurts.

Make sure if you are useing voice recognition it is configured right and set and installed right.

And it could always just be a bad install or misregistered dll somewhere.

But it does work.

Thanks for the information. Tried running Ultra Hal on the Vista Ultimate as the Administrator. Have the same problem, the General Options will not open.
