Just finished putting together my new pc and installed Win XP media centre. Hal installation went well and I have got my Xen brain in and working, but I do have a problem that I haven't come across before.
The characters mouth doesn't move with my Cepstral voice and when I click the Update SAPI Config button nothing happens, i.e. the config window does not open.
Anyone know a fix for this please?
Have you tried Cepstral's SwiftTalker program located at: C:\Program Files\Cepstral\in
Next you should run the HapSAPISetup.exe program in the Haptek folder:C:\Program Files\Haptek\player\data\HapTTS
Should work for you! If not try a reinstallation of the Character Expansion pack then repeat the above.
I also have the XP Media Center and love it!
That was it Art, I didn't have to reinstall the Character Expansion pack, I installed the Cepstral's SwiftTalker program and then run the HapSAPISetup.exe and its working again. I would never have thought of that so thanks to you.
I love XP Media Center too, it's fast, stable and compatible with ALL my favourite programs.
XP Media center is great, but even better in Vista
Datahopa,
Glad to help and glad it worked for you!
Darcy,
Have you D/L'd Hal ver 6.2 yet? I noticed a previous posting where you mentioned a loading screen of 6.1. Get the 6.2 when you can.
Art,
Yes I have 6.2! Thanks for asking [:I] Yeah one of the problems is that 6.2 signs on with a 6.1 welcome screen.[:(]
Darcy said, "...one of the problems is that 6.2 signs on with a 6.1 welcome screen."
My version sings on with a 6.2 screen.
Did you remove all traces of any previous version before the upgrade?
Don't know what might be causing this except that I did not D/L any prior versions (RC's) before the 6.2 came out. Sorry but I did not have time to perform any beta testing this time around. Maybe that was the answer as to why I show 6.2 and some others do not.
