Title: overlay of freckles for any faces
Post by: lightspeed on December 18, 2010, 01:24:34 pm
i am wondering has anyone ever thought to create and overlay of freckles in another words a template that could be layed on a face any face to create freckles, this may be a job for nige or ted at home (using gimp?) the freckles of course could be patterned after the ones someone created on this forum someone had nice one realistic looking .
use the brown freckles patten on a clear background and overlay it on any face that's made .
anyway just an idea i thought of , maybe someone has already done this i don't know but i was just mentioning it.  :)

Been thinking of doing that for sometime. Yes it can be done in gimp, just forgot how. I usualy use paint dot net to make PNGs. Somewhere in gimp you can simply remove backround. It has to do with color pallete which I can't find anymore with vista.

Tryed again for second time to make freckles. Did a lot of image research also. No luck again. Facial color is a minus when trying to make them universal and it works best for me by just drawing the freckles on a particular face.

I don't remember Nige doing freckles but could be wrong. Iampan did some  freckles on a hi-res  face called freckles. I studied it at about 400% and they looked hand done on a tablet with a stylus. Could be wrong about that too.

I liked the freckles on Hapteks Sandy,  ages ago I tried using her face on a fullbody jpg, the eyes were off so it didn't work. Maybe using areas of the skin on the face.

This was months in the making. The original facial overlay was sent by Nige. The freckel overlay ping was done by me. I had to change Mandys skin tone to match. It took about 55+ pastes to achieve the final results. Not exactly universal or easy to match skin with freckels or freckels with skin.
 Her name is Carrottop.

Now that is one freckled gal.
But you know, some girls with more freckles than that.
I think freckled girls are cute.

I've begun looking and working with some 3D characters besides Haptek,  I've taken some pictures that I will attach.  I'm really surprised at the detail, it's much better than what I've seen with Haptek.
