Humanoid Robot Sophia - Almost Human Or PR Stunt

Sophia is not as smart as she appears .

loading pre written scripts etc. sounds a lot like what we do with ultra hal through plug ins huh, but a lot cheaper .  same with accessing the web . etc. also using chat bot programs . guess hal could do this to with plug ins .

Ultra Hal Assistant File Sharing Area / Re: Candy Lite

it's just something to play with. nothing more.

of course. there is always something in development :) always.
an explanation of what it can do? chat. that's the only thing it is designed to do.

but with anything it can't do just requires a plugin.

Since this is a Lite version am I (are we) to assume that there is a "regular" version of some sort?

If so, would that version be available for download, perhaps with author's (your) approval?

Aside from the rough language prevention what sets it apart from the ordinary Hal brain?

Thanks in advance for fielding these questions... ;)

Hmm...now THAT's a thought worth trying.

With all the time that has passed, it's doubtful that I would be able to locate my old copy of it, but I will have a look.

Their DEMO is still available online but I think it did not allow for saving any creations.

Surely there are a few people out there who still have a working version of it...???

I'd love to have a copy of it as well, to try my hand at creating some new 'heads' for my HAL :)

Couldn't one operate it on Win 7/8.1/10 through a virtual machine running XP?

Speech Technology / AT&T Voices

I am running Windows 7 and SAPI 5. I am using a couple TTS programs ( I.e. Words Plus and TextAloud ) and they crossover to Outlook, Word, etc. My problem is that I'm using AT&T Voices version 1.4 and I would like to upgrade to your version 5. If I purchase your Voices it looks like I also get your Zabaware Reader. Is that correct? And will the Voices crossover to my other programs and will I have to uninstall my version or will upgrade automatically?
