I have already downloaded Hal with a CD. In the demo version it was possible to hear Hal. Now, I can't hear it. Which option have I to choose to set up the voice ?

Some older sound cards do not support full duplex. This means that if you are using the microphone with speech recognition to speak to Hal, your sound card is not able to speak at the same time. If you disable speech recognition, Hal will probably be able to speak again. Some sound cards actually support full duplex, but their drivers do not. You should visit your sound card manufacturer's web site to download the latest driveres for your sound card. If it is a hardware limitation, then the only thing you could do is buy a new sound card.
