I am back online, moved into a tent in the wilderness area a couple years ago.  Finally panned enough gold to get a laptop with wireless internet.

I put setswitch commands in each the .hap files to get the full body female to move.  I posted a few of these commands somewhere in the forums.[8D]

Is there some place we can download the Ultra Hal 6 brain?  It would be nice to have a spare brain setting aside for those of us that did not save it before we started teaching it.

I tested these on my register version of Hal 5.0 with the full body female.  Just add any of these lines to the .hap files.(ie: angry.hap for the first one) These are just a few of them.

setswitch [switch= shake_fist state= a       ]
setswitch [switch= hands_on_hips state= start]
setswitch [switch= arm_swing state= a        ]
setswitch [switch= hand_thru_hair state= a1  ]
setswitch [switch= arms_crossed state= start ]
setswitch [switch= inspect_nail state= start ]
setswitch [switch= considering state= start  ]
setswitch [switch= h_gest_03 state=  a       ]

you need a (back slash) before each of the setswitch commands

cable?  i am still in a remote area where i have a party line phone.  there are 4 houses using the same phone line.  When the phone rings it is usually for a neighbor.  the dial up connection on the phone is at 19.2 right now. usually not more then 24k connection.  i can only get online if it is very late at night so that i don't tie up the line. or some rude sob will play with the flash button to disconnect me.

i use haptek, but would be interested in the msagent, since it removes from the box, if it would take on some real looking characteristics.  do you know of one that looks sharp?

I have been successful in adding movements to the full body female by just adding a single command line in each of the .hap files

Problem is fixed...  I got tired of the head ache and put a new modem in the computer.
Different brand of modem this time.  Hopefully it is over with.

my modem is working off and on, i am trying to find out what is wrong with it, but it seems to just work randomly.  i was thinking maybe an initialization string might straighten it out.  but i get an error that the modem is in use or improperly installed.  it worked fine up until around when i installed hal 6. i have plugged the modem card into another slot and this didn't correct the problem.  i have uninstalled the modem and reinstalled it. i have downloaded the newest drivers.  today i tried the modem and it worked just fine, but i did not start up hal today!  i was thinking the phone dialer that hal uses might be causing my modem to be busy. short of buying another modem i was hoping to see if i could correct this one.

windows xp
gateway computer, 2 ghz machine with 512 ram
gtw v.92 voicemodem

well, today it didn't work when i pulled up the phone dialer from hal and disconnected.  so i guess it was just working randomly.
 
i have 2 gateway computers, both have the same modem and use xp

this computer is working just fine, and i have checked this ones settings with the other one, think maybe i have a bad modem in the other one

I finally narrowed down my modem problem and need some help.  I get an error message when i try to get on the internet that says my modem is in use.  to correct the problem i have hal dial any phone number to open the phone dialing program. (I still get an error message when hal tries to dial this number) Then i turn off hals phone dialing program and i am then able to get my modem to connect to the internet.  I don't have a phone dialing program on my computer and am assuming that it is built into hal?  If someone could direct me to where i could find this phone program so that maybe the properties could be changed in it.

i picked up a radio shack mic and head set combo, it seems to do just fine, i don't see a model number on it to relay to you though

Ultra Hal 7.0 / ultra hal 6.0

I got the hal 6 running on my computer now, problem is if i ever have to reinstall or want to start over fresh, i have to get on the internet again.  i have problems getting access to the internet, party line dial up right now.  Also having problems with my modem. I am accessing the forums from another computer right now.  it just seems to me that if after purchasing a cd it could be used to reinstall with out having to go through all the activation again.[8D]
