I was watching some Nova episodes when I stumbled on an interesting one that some of you guys might like.
It has four separate stories but the two I like is the '1918 flu' and the one labeled 'Cynthia Breazeal'. This is the second and third part. You can select the chapters at the bottom of the vid.
The 1918 vid gives information on the H1N1 virus before this latest outbreak had occurred (else I doubt they would have shown it), and the Cynthia Breazeal vid shows an MIT version of a Robot (hi end stuff!).
The whole video is about an hour long, so you can skip through chapters if you want to.
Enjoy!

We're sorry this video is not available in your region due to rights restrictions...
Oh well maybe another time. I'm hoping they deliver South Park to the UK first though still.. ;)
-
It worked just fine for me and was very intestering.
If you can not see it, it may be becaused you security oh your internet browser is set to high. The program is juat an old NOVA program and therefore is not really protected. Reset your browser to a lower security level and try again.

I am an avid 'Doctor Who' fan. Which, of course, comes from the UK. We get it here in the US an entire season late, so I end up getting it from the UK from others who live there. (possible copyright infringement). Whenever I go to the official Doctor Who Web-site, which is located in the UK, I get the same type of error, Freddy, everytime I try to view a 'preview or interview' on their site.
This to me is poetic justice.[}:)][:D]
I think that there is a way to fool the web-site by acquiring a US IP address, Freddy. That's how they know where you live. Once, I chose a random IP address and yahoo thought that I lived in Germany. (no joke)

Yeah you are right Snowman, it's a regional thing not a security problem with my browser as Bill suggests. Thanks Bill all the same. Like I hinted at, for months now I have been trying to view the free South Park shows from their main site, but the last time I checked they still hadn't sorted out the licensing issue.
I guess it's to to with scheduling, but for heavens sake these days we watch so many US shows over here and you watch ours, so why do they bother with things like this. Ho Hum...money I guess..rant over.

That's awesome SpyDaz! Never would have thought of that.
doctorwho torchwood .... wow
I nearly have all the doctor who episodes watched so far. There are so many. They've been producing them since 1963. That's gotta be some kind of record. (LS would have been about 4 or 5 years old [;)])
OH yeah, I forgot to mention that these movies are very long. But they all have something to contribute to AI development.
-
I would not have guessed either about the anagram, that's cool. So how do you change your IP Spydaz ?
-
Nice finds Snowman, I enjoyed them all.[:)]

My Tardis is full of spam.

Did you try the dimensional stabilizer? You just need to make the inside bigger.

AHH,
Bless my two hearts, A Solution!
But this does not reduce the amount of spam, it just makes more room to function.
(Including the problem I have of a stalker after me)

If the Stalker is a Dialek in origen... just materialize in a blackhole and maybe he'll follow you....[:D]
As for the Spam... you can always fill one of the rooms with spam and eject it... unless you take the top advice and materialize in a blackhole. Kill two hearts with one stone it will...[:p]

Snowman,
I thought you might say 'EXTERMINATE!'

No installers i will have to search it!
I hav always loved the DR WHO STUFF... Although the story Changed after the first series to what we know today... I think TOM BAKER was "My Doctor Growing up...".... after watching torchwood one day i was thinking of Why Doctor "WHO" as tom baker was always nearly saying his name in the show!... but considering theShow with the Werewolve and the queen sstarted the institue to find out Who the docter IS! .... PS: He only in these modern days seems to have become some sort of tie police? not the interfearing doctor i remember!
LOL

Yes, Doctor Who has changed a lot over the years - I grew up with Tom Baker too. It's amazing to look back at how truly awful some of the monsters were - I mean the quality of the effect lol.
I do find I enjoy the new shows now though, I like Tennant, it's a shame he's leaving really. One of the new ones is my favourite Dr Who ever - it was called 'Blink'.
-
When I was growing up I heard the title Doctor Who, maybe once or twice. I had no idea what it was was about. My older sister said that she used to watch him but she couldn't recall which doctor.
The first time I ever saw a Doctor Who episode was about three years ago and the Doctor was Christopher Eccleston. I think I saw the second episode of the new season one. It came on public television about midnight and so happens I was channel surfing.
By the end of the first season I was hooked. The way they ended season one was very powerful. (for a tv program)
Tom Baker was very good, but I think Peter Davison got more emotionally evolved and seem to have more regards towards human life.
I remember an episode where Tom had given a seemingly doomed man a weapon, who then preceded to shoot himself. But I remember one, while Peter Davison was there, where he nearly started crying because his enemies were dying. Now thats a Doctor!
Anyway, I like them all. The one thing that appeals to me the most about the Doctor character is that he refuses to except the inevitable, and often changes it. There's always a happy ending to an impossible situation.
That is also the reason why I detest Tourchwood. Captian Jack compromises to much and I'm usually feeling uncomfortable when they end the show... but to him his own.
