Well it must be just domain name then, I guess it's a blanket effect and any links on the Zabaware domain will be alerted.

I had not come across WOT myself before, as you say a lot of people must use it.  I would imagine there is some way for webmasters to get their sites off the black list though if mistakes have been made etc.

This is what I got from Wot:

 Trustworthiness 55
 Vendor reliability 65
 Privacy 64
 Child Safety 66

You need the Pro version to get more info.
The rating could be better so I'll use Nortons and not get upset about it.

Unfortunately Carl2 it's a Norton Product. That automated ratings comes from their analysis system? Sorry but a little bit more partial to an open source rating then Norton. As Freddy also mentioned Chrome will red flag the site as well. I never worry about the good stuff and I don't like to dwell on the negative but it just makes me wonder why.
Didn't mean to knock Norton 360 but they are just another company that makes me wonder why sometimes.

Don't know if anyone else is like me but I used to find WOT so anoying that I disabled it in the end. It seemed that so many sites were a 'threat' that it made surfing pointless. I remember quite a few sites that I had visited for many years flagged up on WOT. I found it pretty inacurate and irritating. I cannot imagine many people taking much notice of it. But its wide spread use is still a threat to Zabaware and should be taken seriously.

I think most of these web advisers are flawed in one way or another. Now especially that all anti virus type programs have no way of keeping up with creative ways we get infected. But the one common thing is if you have or get any type of warning from even those sites you trust these rating advisers do make you think twice especially after reading all the hype about infected web pages these days. So to 'echoman' I agree that these things need to be taken seriously. Maybe inquiring about the Zabaware site to one service at a time like WOT can lead to better answers especially if it is just a single site you frequent often like this one. Just a thought. again I know that many people may not even care and just use a rating system that says the site is okay. There is still a chance it is misinformed or hasn't been told that there has been any problems so people won't second guess the site. Not intentionally trying to spread infections but just as Zabaware has had one problem that was repaired I'm confident that other sites have encountered the same problems. I'm not trying to be an alarmist just looking at the picture as it stands today. I think we all know enough about the internet and if you don't like it then don't use it.
