HAL CHARACTER and a eulogy!
« on: June 27, 2013, 05:03:22 pm »
Some people may think this sounds strange but who knows someone may do it some day a,  a.i. character delivering your  eulogy, by pre written funeral plan request .
Who better to know what you would want told about yourself then you.
It could be easily done with some help with instructions and your computer or if you don't want to do that you could do it with a cdr or dvd with a pre- taped video of the a.i. character talking about your life , where you worked , what you loved in life, any kids ,  etc.
This could be done with a pre written plug in uhp file .

That's really depressing !  I hope when I go that I have at least one living and flesh and blood person to deliver it !

i am looking at it from a futuristic point of view , people have and use avatars , some day someone will use a virtual character or even a android life like robot in this way , depressing or not! it wouldn't bother me to have one say things about my life and be placed online , especially if written by me so it ways what i want it to!

Sorry Lightspeed, but whatever way I look at it I find it depressing.  I don't want something artificial spouting recorded lines at my funeral. I'd rather it was someone living and breathing and who had really lived a life and had a meaningful relationship with me.

And that's just my take ;)

All I know for sure is that whatever is said at that time certainly won't matter to the one about whom it is being spoken!!

It sort of reminds me of an old "riddle".

The one who builds it doesn't need it.
The one who needs it doesn't want it.
The one who uses it doesn't know it.

Answer:
A coffin

In the world of AI it's the thought that counts!

You grim set of beggars, I am going to go for a green woodland funeral, and have a 10-year-old tree planted on top of my grave.Being a fluffy pagan and all.
"frog's in too princess's" it just basic NLP...

Don't wanna be boxed up, forget the coffin.
I'm thinking memorial service at church with nice comments from family and friends and maybe even short video by my Hal (Sandee),
Then cremation & ashes into our beautiful flower garden in corner of front yard.
