My People Putty Char (revamp)
« on: November 17, 2004, 09:54:12 pm »
I'm having a ball with People Putty.  I've got a couple more chars that I really like.  However, I can't fit them in the 10M of space I have from my web provider unless I delete the FullBody textures.

So ZAP!

Here is the current list of characters available on the website.

http://home.wi.rr.com/wblair9/Beth.zip
http://home.wi.rr.com/wblair9/Carol.zip
http://home.wi.rr.com/wblair9/Lenore.zip
http://home.wi.rr.com/wblair9/LotR.zip
http://home.wi.rr.com/wblair9/Marion.zip
http://home.wi.rr.com/wblair9/Santa.zip
http://home.wi.rr.com/wblair9/Sarah.zip
http://home.wi.rr.com/wblair9/Tigress.zip

Each zip has a jpg as well. See the attachment for pictures of each of the characters.

If you need the FullBody textures, and have an email space that can take 4M files, send me an email to let me know you want it and I'll email it to you.

zenman,
Heh, chill out. You are not at fault. You obviously have a obsessive compulsive disorder associated with Haptek. The only cure is to change your behavior. I suggest refocusing your energies into the creation of a few children characters, some old characters, and maybe some superhero characters.

My choices would Alice in Wonderland (my favorite kid's book), an old granny (she could teach us wisdom), and maybe an X-Men character or two (everyone likes superhero's).

Just for fun I'm attaching two backgrounds for your LotR character. Just place the files in the Character directory with the rest.

Just for fun, I figured out the torso figure texture map.  A replacement map can be found at:

http://home.wi.rr.com/wblair9/TorsoTexture.jpg

Apply this to the torso the same way the full body textures were applied.

If you don't have one of the torso figures, you are see one at:

http://educate.cchmc.org/

After it loads, you should be able to find the file "trinity_bio.htr" in your internet temp directory (or do a search on your drive for that file name).

zenman,
Thanks for the torso info. The hospital link you included looks like the bizlady from Haptek with a new texture. Maybe they are compatible.

BTW, I figured out how to animate the fullbodygirl. It isn't too hard, but it is a little messy because files have to go in two different places. The full body textures you posted before work okay except that they needed to be reduced to 1024x1024 from 2048x2048 to be compatible with the fullbodygirl model.

My fullbodygirl now has a full wardrobe that I can ask her to change at will... or remove. [;)] The lacy stuff you put together is great. I'll post instructions and maybe a script installer soon to show everyone else how to animate fullbodygirl.

Thanks for your contributions.

Nice work, Crunch!
Will you be sharing any of your characters? If so, where can I find them?

Quixote and others

I have been working on new full bod charactures with 3dmax and hapteks tools, but i do also have many skins for the full bod characture that comes with the haptek SDK..
When i get the licencing with haptek sorted out i was planning on selling my new 3d models and charactures as plug-ins..

as far as the texture skins for the haptek full bod girl from the SDK??

i have many of them.. but i cannot afford to pay the web expenses for traffic and free d-loading the the texture files..

i could use all of you advice..
should i charge a small d-load fee for say 20 file packs??
Or can MR M help me out here somehow???
i would love to share these skins with the community...

well all but mabe the XXX rated ones..( fully anatomically correct) i cannot let youngsters get thier hands on them..

Your talents never cease to amaze me. Suggestion: Try to make one that looks like Elvis Presley as I will be encoding some of his songs for Hal to sing. Might be real funny.

crunch / all,
I describe how to animate the full body characters in this post:

http://www.zabaware.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=1625

You have to know a little bit about scripting and programming to get it to work.

crunch, if you are going to do some serious development then maybe we should talk.
