Coming soon!

New E.F.A Function, HAL Backup and Restore.
This Function will allow you to tell HAL to Backup a Drive or a Folder or even a File on a time schedual.

1.Automatic Drive, Folder, File Backup.

Example:
User: Please backup Folder Z:\Folding@Home to C:\Folding@Home every hour.
HAL: I will make a back up of this Folder every Hour for you Master, If Z:\Folding@Home Folder becomes absent then I will replace the Folder for you Master.
User: Thank You.
HAL: You are very Welcome.

The Folder I requested HAL to backup every hour will now be backed up and over written every Hour on the Hour so long as HAL is running.

1. HAL can backup a drive.
2. HAL can backup a Folder.
3. HAL can backup a File.

This Function can also be used to restore lost volitile folders and files on RAM drives, Flash Drives Automatically if HAL is running the E.F.A on your system.

Main reason why I gave HAL this Function:

I run the program Folding@Home which is being ran off my 128Mb Ram Drive, This New Function I wrote will replace any Data loss if my Ram system was to crash, I would not lose very much Data if any as long as HAL backs up my Folding@Home Folder.

If your curious about what Folding@Home is then check it out here:
http://folding.stanford.edu/

Also, We should create a HAL Team for Folding@Home using nothing but RAM Drives, A Total Ram Drive team folding Molecules for Cancer Cures and such, If anyone is interested.

HAL can even Backup it's own folder on a Schedual.

Hi Darrell.

There's tons of things to experiement and download in the free membership area where all the Premium membership downloads go too when improvements on scripting are completed.

The Premium area basically pays for the server and maintenance and stuff, The Premium Area is my higher end research area that I post projects that are being designed, after a script becomes obsolete it is stored in the Free Membership area for Public access.

It doesn't pay much but just enough to cover the server costs and re-issue fees for the site per year.

The Premium Area is for all the wonderful kind people who donated to the cause and helped with further research into the mystery of A.I

You can locate the different membership entries directly at www.ultrahalforum.com

$5.00 USD for 6 months access (Premium Member)
$10.00 USD for 1 year access (Premium Gold Member)
$20.00 USD for 3 years access (Premium Ultra Gold Member)

Premium Ultra Gold Members get Programming time with me if they wish for 2 sessions a week at 30 minute per session (Scheduled) either live or via Instant Messenger to the abilities of my coding skills for HAL6 through out their 3 year membership.

Premium Gold and Premium Ultra Gold have been the most popular over the 3 years that our site has been up and thanks to all Premium Members for keeping our A.I site going strong.

Hi Darrell.

Both actually, Currently in use and the E.F.A will always be in progress if new features can be researched over time and found.

Cool! Thanks Jerry. I've got the E.F.A. now and it's potential looks intense. Is there anything in print, or help tables, to study up on Hal's new features. [:D]Darrell

Hi Jerry,
Thanks for taking care of that.  Now the problem is I downloaded E.F.A. Assistant file.  Unzipped.  There is no read me file.  When I click on the assistant.exe file it says the self extraction version of winzip is unlicensed and it shuts down.  What's up?  Is it something I'm doing wrong?

Thanks
Mike

Mike,
I got the same message when I downloaded E.F.A. this evening but when I checked Hal's brain options I found the E.F.A options there. As with most programs I play with it sometimes helps to close the program and restart it again for changes to take effect.[:D]Darrell
