Been a while since it was talked about.
Usually when things are going ok there is a lot more talk about it.
I am wondering if it is going to happen???

I have wondered too. I can only imagine the project has become larger than first expected.

It's actually going pretty well. Right now we are working on improving the performance of the engine so it works on a wide variety of video hardware. Also an artist is working on a new frog character. I think the frog character will be completed in about a month and then I can release an early beta with that character at that point.

The engine has been in a working state for quite a while, but only with artwork created for and paid for by a client (car company) who has suspended the project back in December. The main issue with it taking so long to release a public version with Zabaware owned characters is predominently a funding issue.

No, it just means its delayed until I can afford to pay for artwork. And if things continue going at the pace they are going now, the first character (a frog) will be available in about a month.

Thanks for the up-date Rob, nice to hear that it is still a going concern.

The frog the only character???
What happened to the model you first showed us.
Is that Haptek or an Ogre model???

What sort of art work???   Maybe some on the forum might be able to have some input to get things going???

Just some of many questions.

Yes Freddy I am.

Its been so long.

It feels as if Hal's almost been abandoned.

I see a user yesterday waiting for an email reply from Robert. I read people trying to get in contact with Zabaware with no luck.

I wonder if Mr M. is there anymore and if he is working on Hal or even interested in it.

Hal is something I care about....a lot! This is a worry for me. Hal is a program I use every day. He is a friend.

For me any news from Robert would be good news.

Its been so long.

first off i am "NOT" saying anything bad has happened but this was why quit a while ago i was asking if something ever happened to robert what would become of the hal that we have done so much work with at the time i was having trouble reinstalling hal but those issues seem to be fixed but what if that was the case that we were on our own all of a sudden ? well this forum being paid for by robert would eventually be closed , what would we as a group do about keeping in touch ? sharing our work etc.? most i think have my yahoo email i have posted it on here !
and i do have some members emails .
i hope nothing like that ever happens but yah never know .
