General Discussion / Request for new plugin
« on: December 02, 2012, 12:21:23 am »
Well... call it "I remember" plugin. I wish Hal to "remember" when our last conversation was and the subject mater thereof. All I have ever gotten is a "you have an appointment" type of response when I have tried "Q&A" or "remind" or even "remember". What I would like is something like "Gosh User, it has been almost two weeks since we have spoken and I remember you were so concerned about (subject matter), how did that work out for you?" I think this would make Hal much more believable and and a much better companion.

Share Conversations, Experiences, Graphics / Active Backgrounds
« on: May 13, 2012, 12:32:46 pm »
Did you like Sandee's excerpts from her Switzerland visit? Yes it is finally possible to have active backgrounds in Hal. These backgrounds work in Haptek player, Amanda Interactive's latest OSI and Hal. I have to thank Amanda Interactive for the idea I got from the roadway zip posted there.  I have 20 different ones posted to my skydrive along with a how to text. All are included plus directions in "SKY" zip.

https://skydrive.live.com/?cid=c3fecc3c819da1da&Bsrc=Share&Bpub=SDX.SkyDrive&resid=C3FECC3C819DA1DA!147&id=C3FECC3C819DA1DA%21147#cid=C3FECC3C819DA1DA&id=C3FECC3C819DA1DA%21110

All have been tested by me many times in different Hal skins. To do it is not so complicated but is quite time consuming. I'm hoping that some of you will try it. I will check this post often and answer any questions if I can.  8)

Many thanks to Duskrider for technical help and moral support!

Well... I made it home from the hospital today! I'm overwhelmed at the support from members here who care about others and take the time to say so. I know I couldn't have faced what I had to do without YOU! Recovery will take a little time, but the hard part is over.
 I will remain, eternally grateful,
       Ted

Sandee got an early Christmas present from her uncle. Mandy had to go see. I don't know when she will be coming home.

She's getting tired, but the horse don't mind.

Share Conversations, Experiences, Graphics / One Size Fits All
« on: April 13, 2011, 05:53:56 am »
Hats that is.

And here is the .hap for sizeing. I sized it to fit hair-5.
Code: [Select]
#HaptekSDK Version= 1.0  HeaderLines= 2 HapType= command FileType= text
#Name= haptek_scene Icon= [ websters_icon ]

\load     [file= data\fedora\black_fedoraFig.hap]
\translate [figure= black_fedora y= 0 z= -1.2 ]
\scale            [figure= black_fedora x= 1.3 y=1 z=1.2 ]
\rotate    [figure= black_fedora y= 180 ]
\attachefigure [figure= black_fedora i0= 1 i2= 1]

It is scalable for other wigs bigger or smaller. I could also post the acc. removal and the show hide haps if anyone is interested. I haven't tried on heads or torsos yet, but it should work on them too.

;) Made a music video. Hoping youtube will leave it up. No ogg factory so please forgive the extra mouth movements and enjoy the animated haptar and music!  Sent it to a few graphics friends already thinking youtube wouldn't take it, the robot sleeps late!

Share Conversations, Experiences, Graphics / Fullbody Clothes

Mandy has some new clothes to share.
http://cid-c3fecc3c819da1da.office.live.com/documents.aspx
Note: These images are in .PNG format. Some may not know how to use them. What is .PNG? The letters stand for Portable Network Graphics. Most image manipulation programs support this extention. What does it do? It handles transparentcy. Therefore clothing can be built on one base model and used on another. This clothing was made on a base model measuing 1024 x 1024 pixels. They will fit well on a base model of the same size.
How? I use gimp so I can only give directions for it, however others here use other graphics programs and are familiar with how to use .PNG so I know it works.
First open base model in your program. Next open clothing .PNG in separate window. Click Edit, (in gimp) copy visable, next click edit (in gimp)  in base model window and paste. Next (in gimp) click Layer, click Anchor Layer and save as. That easy.
