The script running Hal keeps track of the time of the last response. It is stored in a variable called LastResponseTime. This information isn't currently used by Hal in anyway, but it is available for anyone to use.  VBScript programmers can make use of this using the Ultra Hal Brain Editor program.

I too also thing it would be of some great use. It would alow hal to know how long since you last talked. It could be used to have hal question what was done during the time away. It could also be used for hal to ask you to talk to him/her more often so it would not be lonely or upset. It would also allow hal to recognize if yo have been talking for a long time and might need to stop for food or sleep. These posibilities on what it could be used for are endless.

Fore more idea's or if you have any info on the topic please email me at morkeleb_2003@earthlink.net
