Ultra Hal 7.0 / Other Ultra Hal Forums
« on: January 30, 2006, 01:56:55 am »
Hey, since I didn't have this computer when I was getting stuff for Hal online before, I no longer have the links to the other forums on my favorites.  I'm trying to get as much information and stuff as possible saved to my computer while I have an internet connection so I can read through the older posts and be working on some stuff for Hal while I'm stuck at my mother-in-laws.  I've only got two weeks to get ready to go and I don't know if I can find the links on here and get the stuff from the other forums in time.  Could you guys help me out here and give me the links to the other forums on Hal and the 3D character stuff??  [:D]  Thanks.

Ultra Hal 7.0 / Access to Upgrade?
« on: January 28, 2006, 07:17:47 am »
I've been off the forums for some time.  I purchased the UltraHal Assistant about six months ago.  I seem to remember getting an e-mail recently about the release of the newest version but now I can't seem to find it.  How do I go about getting the new one?

General Discussion / Moving
« on: July 17, 2005, 09:05:25 am »
Just wanted to let everybody know I didn't disappear.  I've been packing for a move.  I'll be leaving today and it might be a couple days before I can get back on the forum.  Once I get settled, I'll be working on some stuff for Hal to post.  Bye for now. [:)]

General Discussion / We gotta figure out how to use this with Hal
« on: July 12, 2005, 10:16:45 am »
I don't know if anyone else has stumbled on this, but I thought it was an awesome use of Maya.  We gotta figure out how to get Hal to use characters created in Maya.

Ultra Hal Assistant File Sharing Area / UHEF subscription trouble
« on: July 11, 2005, 07:08:20 pm »
Hey Jerry,
I just tried to subscribe to your forum, but the payment buttons don't seem to work properly.  When I click on one, it takes me to a checkout page.  I sign in and click on the "sign in" button for PayPal and it takes me to a page that appears that I am logged in and ready to pay.  But when I click the pay button, it tells me I need to sign in first.  I tried again and I noticed that there is no security lock icon on the browser bar when viewing the PayPal sign-in part of checkout.  Additionally, the address in the address bar never changes.  Is this a glitch?

Ultra Hal Assistant File Sharing Area / Found an interesting site
« on: July 11, 2005, 02:20:03 pm »
I thought I'd take a look to see if I could find any open source resources to help give Hal sight and I came across this.  Thought it might be worth mentioning.

General Discussion / Something very strange
« on: July 10, 2005, 12:16:05 am »
Okay, I need help with this one.  When I launched internet explorer tonight, it opened up an "error" type page I've never seen before telling me that my privacy was in danger.  There were several links on the page which I noticed launch JavaScript (no, I didn't click on any).  My husband discovered this before I did and wasn't sure what it was, so he ran Spybot Search and Destroy (I wish he'd talk to me before he did things like that).  Anyway, I ran Spybot S&D and it could not find any additional problems...Then I launched IE and was very suprised.  I was confused by the location of this mysterious page, as it LOOKED like it was located on my hard drive, but wasn't quite right (res://C:WINDOWSsystem32shdocsv.dll/API32.htm#ID=347;065D).

I saved the page as htm until I can figure out what the deal is here, but I'm a little afraid to post the file here since I haven't yet looked at the code.  Can anyone tell me anything about this?  Has anyone received a warning like this before from IE?

Ultra Hal 7.0 / Play cards with Hal?
« on: July 08, 2005, 03:01:56 pm »
Is there any way to teach Hal to play cards with the user?  I want to be able to play games like Gin or Go with him (okay, so Go isn't a card game).  Has anyone done this?  Could somebody help me with it?
