We gotta figure out how to use this with Hal

I don't know if anyone else has stumbled on this, but I thought it was an awesome use of Maya.  We gotta figure out how to get Hal to use characters created in Maya.

not quite as pretty as you might have seen previously but a reasonable facsimile. her ya go email me for the htr. i cant ever get them to upload on here.[:X]

Yes, very nice. I spoke to Alceu several years ago about this model of his. He told me that he prefered polygon modelling to nurbs modelling for greater degree of control and smoother end result when rendering. I had to agree with him!!

Another great 3D artist is Steven Hagg-Stahlberg. Some of his work is extremely difficult to distinguish from a real person.

Wow, she's amazing.  The lighting and focus is very real.

btw, on 3d characters, has anyone ever watched the new Captain Scarlet Kids program, I happened to be watching TV in the afternoon yesterday and was amazed by it.  I watched the whole episode.  The characters don't look quite as real as this, but what they do with movement, rendering and lighting is really cool.  You can't even see the strings anymore..[;)]
