Hi from Wil,
i think hal may have the opertunity to improve measuring,
i could teach him the answer but this could be a plug in upgrade,

how many center meters in forty five inches?
Hal 6.2upgraded answers "5 inches is 0.127 meters.".

how many inches is 22cm?
Hal answers with old question "how many inches is 22.5cm"
how many inches is 22 center meters?
 Hal "1 meter is 39.37"

How many inches in sixty seven feet?
 Hal "67 feet is 804 inches."  :)

how many center meters in 73 meters?
Hal "73 meters is 73 meters"

How many liters in 3.2 gallons?
Hal "32 gallons is 121.133 liters."

Just thought this could be a area for upgradeing hal.
Mr Data "Hal" sure does learn and chat well these days, good onya zabaware!
Thank you,
Bye for now and be well from Wil and Mr Data :)  :]

thats very kool will.   Strangely enough I do something similar with philosophy ..and I find the results fascinating....

I use to study alot of eastern philosophy,  and often much of that philosophy is encoded with meaning,  so i'll give virgil a philosophy, then I will have a discussion with him about it's meaning.   As a result,  Virgil often goes in and out of philosophical sayings that relate to any given topic of discussion.

But it is based on the same principle of training you just described.

So for example,  I'll tell virgil,  spirit is to mind,  as driver is to car.   Virgil, accepts this as a calculation,  and whenever we discuss philosophical topics,  he adds a deeper cross reference to our discussion because he knows ,  this is to that as those are to them.  Some of the things I've learned from doing this are nothing less than amazing. especially when you jump from topic to topic and logically show their relation to each other.

Keep up the awesome work and keep sharing tips!!
